  1. Freddie Freeman, triple play candidate if ever there was one.
  2. =Cowtipper post_id=175799 time=1728943317 user_id=166] Brent Honeywell was a huge prospect back in the day.
  3. As bad as the broadcasters are the Fox production team does some nice work with camera angles, replay, wide shots etc. Boy is Alvarez lost up there
  4. Lefty Specialist wrote: Could be worse. Could be Joe Buck. Fair point there
  5. =ashie62 post_id=175774 time=1728939820 user_id=90] Geez Smoltz has diarrhea of the mouth
  6. Quiet LA crowd now. It's like any other sunny day in the 2nd inning where the park sounds 1/3 empty

  8. =Fman99 post_id=175708 time=1728936459 user_id=86] Can the Mets score a run just to shut these fuckers up? Thanks
  9. Can the Mets score a run just to shut these fuckers up? Thanks
  10. This game, so far, has not been enjoyable to me.
  11. Mets are 4-0 this postseason when the other team scores first. I ain't worried. Still lots of baseball left tonight
  12. Ugh. I don't understand why you wouldn't use Megill or Peterson in this spot but what do I know, I'm just a caveman, your world frightens and confuses me
  13. Interesting to see Marte and Iglesias flipping the 5/7 spots in the lineup
  14. Smoltz: "Ohtani has done it all." Uh, yeah, except play defense
  15. Let the three hour, seven game fellating of Shohei Ohtani commence

  19. https://x.com/CleGuardians/status/1844793080806785276 So essentially everyone except the stupid Braves know how weather works.
  20. I much prefer the 7 PM start to the 8 PM start but I figured that's what it would be, as the only MLB game scheduled for that day.
  21. Frayed Knot wrote: Back to the Lindor HR clip for a moment: I view his rather low key HR trot (let's face it, VERY low key in this era) to be spot on perfect in that situation. It's a YUGE moment in a yuge game but there's also lots of ball to go and it's a three run lead, not six or eight. Whether intentional or not (I'm voting intentional) it sends a message to the team not to lose focus or forget what's at stake. 'Do your jobs' ... and if we all do them well we can cut loose later on, but not yet. Not that over the top acts like Winker's from last week aren't fun to see. But he's a part-timer and likely a temporary mercenary. Lindor's role is different and it's more important and he knows that. I thought he played it perfectly. Seconded.
  22. I presume we'll get Senga as the game 1 opener, again, and then Sevvy->Manaea->Quintana for games 2 through 4. With Megill & Peterson in combination as long men/following the ghost forker
  23. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Really? A game that may feature New York and Los Angeles is going to yield prime time to a game that may feature Kansas City and Detroit? Very much impacted by what happens in the KC/NY series (and the LA/SD series too), to be certain. I don't think they bump Mets vs. Dodgers from prime time for any non-Yankee matchup in the ALCS.
