1. I play in a weekly darts league. The stripe is always a certain distance away from the front of the board. We started up again about five weeks ago, after a multi month layoff. They moved all the boards around. We took some practice throws at one board and immediately noticed it was off. Everything we threw was hitting the bottom of the board. Turns out the difference was about 3" off the usual.
2. This game was highly enjoyable. Barley Prose podcast was recorded during much of innings 8-9.
3. I have every intent of landing me a choice piece like that 32 years down the road. Don't tell Fwife of course.
4. Frayed Knot wrote: Maybe my favorite Fleetwood Mac song and this is a good version. Yeah, that's a strong version. This is also one of my favorites from the Lindsey/Stevie era -- though I'd rank a whole nother set of faves from the Peter Green years and yet another batch from the Bob Welch era.
5. Boy, I feel like Wheels is going to be pretty jacked up to pitch in Queens and shove the ball down our (proverbial) throats.
6. Much like the blogs back in the day that didn't take their cues from what they read in newspapers (publishing series previews as if you couldn't figure out the Mets were playing the Cardinals tonight), the Mets podcasts I find most palatable are the ones that aren't under the impression that they have to be latter-day Mike and/or the Mad Dog. I've been America's Guest on many of them. I'm happy to be asked and go where the hosts want, but I've never understand the point of "let's talk about shortstop depth" for the umpteenth time. yeah, a lot of the internet is just aggregated nonsense at this point. One guy says something, 456 repeat it and maybe another 100 attempt to repeat it in their own words. Not that this is different with podcasts than say, Joe Buck saying something and every ESPN/talk show weighing in, but still. Props to Amazin' Avenue's A Pod Of Their Own for that, mostly having a different take/angle/discussion. My 'idea' would be more of a Barley Prose podcast where we talk beer and pair it with baseball. "This Triple IPA is huge, hoppy, and in your face. It really packs a wallop, much like Yoenis Cespedes' 3 HR game last night!" Bump, because this is now a real deal! Yes bump to this as well, thanks SJR! We've done three episodes now - I think the idea/hope is to do it every week. Seawolf, Ceetar and I have done them all and ABNS has been on one as well. We've been recording them on Wednesdays and releasing them on Thursdays, it's about 80/20 Mets/Beer talk at this point but so far it's been fun to make. We keep it short, too, 30 minutes once Ceetar polishes and edits them. 7. =seawolf17 post_id=31370 time=1581340886 user_id=91] Two hours with Claire Danes has been a dream of mine since college.

Not on this topic, but, generally, I'm a big fan of tit for tat. What about tats for tits? Sure!

10. Man, that gets me every time I read it.
11. Stro is right to be pissed. That's some nonsense
12. Seriously, though, fuck Edwin Diaz.
13. SNY rerun at 8 PM. I may put myself into media isolation for the afternoon and watch it in the evening.
14. Enjoyed the afternoon game. Missed innings 1-2 on my lunch/nap break. Watched innings 3-8 on my tablet while I worked. Took my phone and bluetooth headphones and listened to the entire 9th inning while on a ten mile bike ride around my neighborhood. A win is a win, cheap as this one may be. We needed it, especially with an off day on the horizon. You don't want to go into a 48 hour lull at 1-3.
15. The great grandfather of a buddy and former coworker of mine. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fischwi01.shtmlhttps://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fischwi01.shtml
16. I actively dislike the digital "Justworks" logo superimposed on the pitcher's mound. I'd like to leave a virtual coil right on top of that.
17. Don't lay down, dammit. These Marlins are 1-5. Be better !
18. Well, damn. That should have been better than it was.
19. Come on, Dom. America needs you.
20. Ugh, ugly bunt attempt there. Wasted AB
21. Walker sure does work fast. Bout time. We don't need every game to take 220 minutes, we're not savages.
22. Yankees lose in 11 on yet another "run from the guy on 2nd" rule scored by Baltimore in the top of the 11th. MFYs had their own guy on 3rd in the bottom of the 11th but he was thrown out on a sac fly attempt after a bunt got him to 3rd. Still hate this rule. But at least it's causing MFY fans pain.
23. This was some stir fried monkey shit.
24. Nary a recollection of this latest "made up Edgy Met" from days of yore.
