  1. =seawolf17 post_id=61661 time=1619020967 user_id=91] And if neither of them can make it, I'M IN.
  2. I made it 8 innings. Long games are the devil's asshole. I can't stay up so late any more. These are also the first games we're watching outside of the eastern time zone since September 18, 2019 so we're out of practice (and older). Compounded by us recording our weekly episode of the "Mets on Tap" beers & baseball podcast -- that late 9:30 PM beer doesn't exactly help my longevity any.

  4. I could not find that this thread had been started already, so forgive me if this is a duplicate. Season opener slated for May 4th. Tickets are on sale for all May games. I've just secured a four pack of seats for Saturday, May 22nd, a 6:35 pm game against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (the mini-Phillies) and I have to tell you, I'm pretty excited about attending a live baseball event. Considered also the May 8th game but at that point Fboy will only be 8 days past his second Covid vax. By May 22nd only Fgirl will require the pre-game Covid test.
  5. That was a fortuitous hop for McNeil there. Would like to see this game stay a 3-1 margin if Barnes can manage it.

I kiner get this. It was a close early season game against a division rival, not a last hurrah in September after the season's been decided. Yeah, but, to play devil's advocate here, the Yankees can eat a tureen full of micropenises served with a creme fraiche.

  8. Now what do we do? I hate off days after a win. We have to wait another 32 hours for Mets baseball? That's some baloney.
  9. Chad ochoseis wrote: No point at all in pulling Stroman. I was good with it after 8. Diaz looked great yesterday, one run lead, heart of the order due up. Plus Stro gave up that run late. This made sense to me.
  10. Watched this whole thing. Fun to see Stro pitch when he's locked in.

So maybe this guy sucks a butt?
  12. Well it was succinct, at least, give them credit for that much.
  13. Aw this game took a hard left turn towards pooptown.
  14. According to Fboy these college age photos of deGrom bear a strong resemblance to Andy from "Toy Story."
  15. I would enjoy the piss out of a .500 season for those guys.
  16. Guhzelly looked pretty good for all of the consternation and awful spring numbers.
  17. Props to Diaz who pretty convincingly shut the door on that one. The streak continues!
  18. I'll feel better if they can give Diaz a bigger lead. Like 80 runs.
  19. Nine straight Ks. Record is 10 held by the Franchise set 51 years ago!
  20. We enjoyed watching Rene mash the ball here in the 'Cuse. Good luck to ye
  21. Good weather for watching the game (on television).
  22. Cavemen, all of them. Perpetually embarrassing. Show them all the door, Unkie Steve.
  23. Episode 4 of the https://www.barleyprose.com/podcast/mets-on-tap-episode-4/Barley Prose podcast out now, Seawolf, Ceetar and I discuss beer and recent Mets events. SJR gets a shout out in this one For whomever it was who said they couldn't tell who was talking, Ceetar has the best microphone and the deepest voice, and Seawolf has the highest voice register-wise, and I'm in the middle somewhere.
