    "New Era just sent a mass email offering to sell me “conference champion” caps. Conference?" Howie Rose just commented on twitter that no matter how much MLB tries to emulate the NBA and NFL (after seeing a screenshot that said the Phillies 'advanced to the world series' instead of 'won the pennant') and this is another seeming example of that.

    That Baerga trade killed me then like the JD Davis trade does this year. I *knew* Jeff Kent was a surefire star, and I feel we will rue the JD Davis banishment in similar ways

    "the team has won 98 games and is quite good, no matter the results this weekend." Agreed. I think I heard last night that sine June 1 the Braves have been playing at a record clip-- like 114 wins in a full season? There's no shame in coming behind those guys, even if there is disappointment.
