  1. i probably just have him so confused with steve cishek... or that it seems like every year he has a stretch of something useful enough that i find myself hovering over his name in fantasy baseball, but never quite pulling the trigger... i feel like there were so many hard throwing padre relievers 5-10 years ago, too, that i was always looking to get hold or k-rate out of, but i can't pull any of their damned names out of the fog. there are no guesses here, though. just commentary. its not my turn yet.
  2. i'm struggling with relievers. pat neshek is a name i just need to get out of my head. he's got twins history, and is my RP21.
  3. wow. orioles. remember back in the early teens when adam jones was dang near a superstar? or at least a highly regarded piece of a successful fantasy baseball puzzle? i almost forgot because there he is at CF7. mocking us with his near anonymity. where the hell is he these days? probably hiding out with all the answers for the relief pitchers.
  4. trevor rosenthal rp24
  5. Damn. You got my next. I'll show you! Buck showalter. Manager 9
  6. Also helpful is remembering names of players that you'd meant to mention earlier in the contest. Like starling Marte, lf8.
  7. SP 19 is cliff lee. i guess he's kinda the opposite of gio. go big and go home.
  8. THAT's an "ugh?" Try (suppresses vomit) this redass at #10 (I'm guessing): http://riveraveblues.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/AP100829032463.jpg?x38537> fuck. THAT's the guys whose name i couldn't fucking remember. well, him and russell martin alike, actually. screw 'em both. side note. i can't wait to see our quizmaster's response to your photo-as-guess. you may get docked a few points there. ballsy. now that (i think) we may have closed off the catchers, that DH category is really starting to bother me. who the hell are these guys. why don't we know #2? how low is the freaking bar, damnit? and how did joe mauer not get enough time at DH to be the twins guy? i'm so confused. damn... i was hoping that by blathering on i would come up with a new name. none come to mind. justin morneau DH2.
  9. ugh, is tyler freakin' flowers our catcher #9? i feel like he's been around forever enough to make a catcher list.
  10. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=42643 time=1596404056 user_id=68] =TransMonk post_id=42642 time=1596403863 user_id=71] Ces' First Mets Game: August 1, 2015 Ces' Last Mets Game: August 1, 2020 He missed a couple in between.
  11. kelvin herrera is reliever #23.
  12. Holy shit the number 7 2b is freakin' Brian dozier. He was sure good until all of a sudden he wasn't. But now he's ours so... yay!
  13. gah! that's him! speaking of... ah... ah hell. i don't have a good segue here. khris davis dh8
  14. nah, i already picked him off at #9. you're thinking of that other guy. the one who's been taunting me as i try to think of cub pitchers that played for one other team. ugh! killing me. what's not killing me is thinking that anibal sanchez could be on this list at SP16, because, well, i'm running out of marlins pitchers who actually added up to anything this past decade.
  15. Did someone say fantasy baseball helps, because fantasy baseball put the name Sergio romo onto my radar. He's our rp 16. And his name came up in some other players news story.
  16. =metsmarathon post_id=42064 time=1596047817 user_id=83] world series enemy ned yost, manager 4.
  17. yeah... well... i'm sitting here racking my brain against who could possibly have played for the padres and actually gone back. and been a decent third baseman. and the answer is chase headley, that's who. 3b#10
  18. world series enemy ned yost, manager 4.
  19. (i'm gonna get killed on these fucking relievers!)
  20. our missing metly #11 thirdbaseman is justin turner, who i'd mistakenly thought would have qualified as a 2b.
  21. DH7 alex rodriguez
  22. i still have [CROSSOUT]guesses[/CROSSOUT] strong, forceful, manly answers. do i need to wait?
  23. Don mattingly has to be one of the managers, right? Mgr 9.
  24. =metsmarathon post_id=41247 time=1595502685 user_id=83] oh yeah, well, curtis granderson, CF6. fuck i keep forgetting about how many teams he played for after us. even when it's literally staring me in the face.
