Even if all this is true, I'd like to know if he's still drinking. Because even if he's on the right side of all this stuff, it's messy. Messy stuff tends to happen when you drink to excess. You're in the wrong place with a few in you when some blowhard gets on your case. Or you step behind the wheel when you shouldn't. It should be about what you do between the lines. But realistically, this is New York and you're under a microscope.

Yes, because this series is all about the Yankees. Look for Buck and McCarver to default to their usual Yankee-worship mode at least twice in this series. Also- see how long they can go without mentioning the name 'Jeter'. I know it's a series between San Francisco and Texas, but old habits die hard. His name will come up somehow.

I'm a National League guy unless there's a pressing reason not to, AKA Braves or Phillies. Find it personally hard to root for a team once owned by George W. Bush. (Unless they're playing the Yankees, whereas all bets are off). I was also in SF at Generic Telecom Park in July and everyone was quite hospitable. So points for them and their gigundo glove in left field.
