  1. Loading up with potent potables for the ninth. Myrna!
  2. Don't quite understand like Terry likes Batista so much.
  3. The sentence that strikes fear in the heart of every Met fan..... "We need eight outs from our bullpen."
  4. Burkhardt is painless, but this booth is infinitely better with Gary in there.
  5. They really need to add on here. We need to avoid using the closer, lest he choke on a chicken bone. Not helpful, Ike.
  6. Unfortunately they hit like Tina.
  7. I wonder if John Sterling referred to Ike Davis' home run as "Swish-a-licious!!!!"
  8. "Good to see Alex got rid of that purse!" I love Keith.
  9. Niese has a two-hit shutout through the first inning.
  10. Ay Caramba, FrankFrank. They're going to crush you. Either that or you'll walk them with the bases loaded.
  11. If only Wally Backman could have been miked up at the moment he landed.....
  12. Fell out of my chair at Mariano.
  13. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG That's a game I went to a few years ago. That's why I dislike Cow-Bell-Man.

Particularly when shot from an angle that makes Girardi look about a foot taller than Terry. I mean, I know Terry is short, but Girardi's not making it in the NBA either. Terry channelling his inner Walter Brennan when he says 'every advantage you can GIT, huh?' Plus they're both wearing home uniforms.
  15. That was a lot more stressful than it needed to be.
  16. That stache looks painted on, Murph.
  17. Mens hair dye apparently worthy of breathless worldwide TV coverage.
  18. Edgy DC wrote: Really? A family needs it's annoying Cousin Tommies, who can't quite figure out if we love him because of his act, or despite it. So he continues it, for years. And we all become afraid to sit down to tell him he doesn't have to be an idiot, that we all love him anyway, except we're afraid that rather than lift his fear, we worry that it might just make him feel ridiculous for carrying on all those years. It's dysfunctional, but it's part of what makes us a family. And it's beautiful. That guy is nothing without his Cow-Bell Man identity. You know he's got custom plates, and a flag and a tattoo and shit. But take that away and what do you have? Another guy that nobody will talk to at work. The world has enough of those. Give me CBM. Sometimes families need to stage interventions. They could lure him with the promise of meeting Christopher "More Cowbell!" Walken and then bind his arms while crushing his cowbell with a 10-ton drill press and setting his sticks on fire. Next I'll work on that guy who sings in the "Kars for Kidz" commercial.
  19. Kathy Kersh didn't just sit on her laurels as Miss. Rheingold: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0449947/ Whoa. The wife of Robin AND Ben Casey. And 4 appearances on The Beverly Hillbillies to boot. That's like 60's TV gold.
  20. I'm not normally a violent person, but for Cow-Bell-Man, I could make an exception.
  21. If Florida makes the post-season a few times with him having a hand in it, then it's a good deal. That's how I judge these things, and I'm betting that's how Jeffrey Loria looks at it too. A-Rod for $25 million/yr to an otherwise mediocre Texas franchise is a waste. A-Rod for $25 million as the capstone of the Yankees in the mid-2000's is a different story.
  22. For random fun when you're in Manhattan: On 108 Rivington Street on the Lower East Side is a store called Economy Candy. Step inside and it's as if you've entered a time warp to an old-style candy store. They have EVERYTHING, including the types of candy you thought disappeared 40 years ago. One of the things they have is a big bin of unopened baseball card packs, mostly from 1988 through 1991. They sell for a buck apiece. It's worth it just to see how hard a stick of bubble gum can get in 24 years. And hey! Wally Whitehurst!
  23. Not liking the way this is shaping up with El Bullpen Enflamado waiting in the wings.
