Gee needs to stop imploding when he reaches 90 pitches.

It's amazing how many times in the past few years they've teased us with a good first half. That's why I keep wondering when this particular dirigible will approach the mooring mast.

I think Gary said something like, "you guys played with a 22, too" so he wasn't named directly. This team does have a loosey-goosey feel to it right now, like they're playing with house money after all the injuries. Whatever it is, guys, keep doing it.

I gotta ask: Who are these guys and what have they done with my Mets?

It's painful to watch Steve Gelbs interview people. He should stop.

I find the reaction of the broadcast team interesting. Gary seems all-in on the Dark Knight stuff, but Ron and Keith seem a lot more reticent.

They gotta figure out a better way to do this. You can't have 5 minute delays in the middle of an inning.

I think they've finally proven to themselves that a 4-man bench isn't optimal. They got away with it for 7 games but it nearly bit them in the ass tonight.

Everyday Carlos Torres duz his job. Now, nobody hit it to Flores for the next two innings, please.

It's guaranteed that Jeter winds up on the top four. This is doofy fan voting, not an actual analysis of who's the best.

AA staying put for a while. Mets extend contract with Double-A affiliate through '20 By Anthony DiComo / MLB.com | @AnthonyDiComo | 7:08 PM ET WASHINGTON -- The Mets announced Tuesday that they have extended their player-development contract with Double-A Binghamton for four years beyond their current deal, which was set to expire after 2016. Their new contract lasts through 2020. "We consider our affiliation with the New York Mets the crown jewel of our assets," B-Mets president Mike Urda said in a statement. "Fans can rest assured that the Binghamton Mets and New York Mets will be linked for the next six years." The Mets' arrangement with Binghamton has proven geographically desirable, particularly when compared to their Triple-A affiliation with the Las Vegas 51s. The Mets' other top Minor League affiliates are scattered throughout the country, with Class A teams in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Savannah, Ga., and Brooklyn. Anthony DiComo is a reporter for MLB.com. Danger, Will Robinson! Met players and management have a tendency to minimize injuries until just before the limb detatches from the body.

On Question #25: KC - You answered 'Familia' when the question was Gilmartin or Leathersich Lefty Specialist - You answered 'Neither' on that same question. No pushes allowed here, choose one or the other (and since Gilmartin has made the OD roster I assume you're going to opt for him) My Momma didn't raise no fool. Gilmartin it is.

Wow, great stuff. You can feel the anguish on so many levels. Wouldn't have wanted to be around him on, say, September 30, 2007.

It's a silly, contrived name. But I don't care if he loosens his Utility Belt once in a while as long as he's mowing 'em down on the mound.

I like it. I think Lagares will have a good year and will be a steal over the life of the deal.
