  1. I kept hoping someone would foul a ball back on the screen in front of him. But alas.
  2. So there actually is a team with worse giveaways than the Mets. The Padres gave out straw beach hats, only to go through the stands later taking them back because they were infested with tiny grain beetles..... https://fox5sandiego.com/2018/09/01/grain-beetles-cause-padres-to-take-away-giveaway-hats/
  3. DeGrom walks one and strikes out 10 in 8 innings, AND he goes 2-4 and drives in the only run. It's becoming almost comical at this point. On a team with a good offense he'd win 25 games this year.
  4. I have the solution. Send Reyes to Las Vegas. Win-win.
  5. I've always had the feeling that the only reason they've kept Jose Reyes around this long is to reunite him with David Wright one last time.
  6. Fundies, Plawecki, fundies.
  7. We got 50,000 watts, and a big acoustic tower..... [youtube:10h387dr]YEpr8kaczck[/youtube:10h387dr]
  8. Roll with him. Fix other things.
  9. I really thought they had a run in them, but damn, this Nats team just can't get out of its own way.
  10. This just in.....Jacob DeGrom is really good.

  12. (Balls hands into fists)
  13. If we can get a league average hitter at that position in Plawecki, Career OPS of .633 . And he can't throw runners out. Next.
  14. Always kind of liked Monell. Even though he couldn't ultimately cut it, he had a little pop and always seemed fiery.
  15. One of the problems candidates and those who work with the Mets have mentioned is working for the Wilpon family. Says it all. Baseball people know what a shitshow this franchise is. They won't want to get involved. I'm sure they'll find somebody dumb enough, though.
  16. Boy, I'm reduced to cheering on the Red Sox to humiliate the Yankees. Guess it'll have to do this year. Also root for the Mariners and A's to pass them in the wild card standings.
  17. For a second I thought you were talking about Callaway.
  18. More likely neck strain from turning to see all those balls hit all over the yard.
  19. Fman99 wrote: Anibal Sanchez vs Jacob deGrom. I mean, I care, but, fuck, this post All Star break dip is hurting my feelings now. Yeah, it's kind of ShamWTF!
  20. Wear something blue or orange so we can see you.
  21. DeGrom sat at 4-0 on May 18, but is 1-6 in his past 12 outings despite a 1.86 ERA and a .204/.254/.313 opponents slash line in that span. The 30-year-old owns a 0.98 WHIP with only 32 walks and 164 strikeouts across 138 1/3 innings. DeGrom is 5-4 with a 1.80 ERA in 15 career starts against the Braves, but is 0-1 in four starts this season despite allowing two earned runs in 25 innings. Boy, I've seen pitchers with bad luck, but this is bordering on a criminal lack of support. I'm betting this game will be 0-0 in the sixth and they'll find a way to blow it.
  22. Yeah, I actually tuned in just in time to see that 8-run inning. It was quite refreshing to see a team playing winning baseball (and beating the crap out of the Yankees).
  23. Sadly, this dog has fleas.
