1. This is one game I'm glad I fell asleep on. If I saw that live, I probably would have nver gone to sleep. I hate west coast trips...
2. I just threw up... If that Nancy was on the cover, it would have won in a landslide due to the deceased vote.
3. Ugh - both of yesterday's covers would beat either of these for me. The Carter cover is too dark, and I can't get past the terrible horizon on the Koosman cover. Like the last presidential election, I can't vote for either one.
4. One hell of a hitter, and showed how classy he was by how he handled everything after 1986
5. I can't be the only viewer, when seeing Billy Ripken on MLB Network, who thinks, “Hey, it's F*ck Face.”
6. That G-fafif guy should be a writer or something...
7. =Ceetar post_id=10879 time=1558618677 user_id=102] =nymr83 post_id=10867 time=1558588222 user_id=54] Not to be overlooked: he arrived in the 3rd inning tonight. Mets could have been shit out of luck if he was coming from New Orleans or Las Vegas. Kudos to the Wilpons buying the team in Syracuse outright and ending the AAA musical chairs.
8. =Centerfield post_id=10876 time=1558617603 user_id=65] I mean, if an old Mike Trout finished his career with a 130 games in a Mets uniform and put up a mid .700's OPS, I think it would be ridiculed more than revered.

Benjamin Grimm wrote: Benjamin Grimm wrote: In the category of number of games managed, Mickey Callaway still trails those of his predecessors who managed more than one season but fewer than two. If he sticks around, he'll start moving up on the list: Bud Harrelson 274 George Bamberger 208 Joe Frazier 207 Jeff Torborg 200 Mickey Callaway 199 Frank Howard 116 Roy McMillan 53 Salty Parker 11 Mike Cubbage 7 Well, Mickey stayed around long enough to pass Torborg, Frazier, and Bamberger. That's something, I guess. Bud Harrelson 274 Mickey Callaway 209 George Bamberger 208 Joe Frazier 207 Jeff Torborg 200 Frank Howard 116 Roy McMillan 53 Salty Parker 11 Mike Cubbage 7 it'll take a miracle for Callaway to catch Buddy. That miracle being the Wilpons unwillingness to pay another manager while Mickey is in the 2nd year of a three year contract.
10. =Centerfield post_id=10698 time=1558479757 user_id=65] There's some stretching there, but overall it's a pretty good summation of what is wrong with the Mets. I'm not surprised you think it's garbage.
11. Cespedes fractured his ankle in an accident at home?
12. Here's my guess out of left field: A DL stint for Cano to save face, claiming that he has a pulled hammy or some other leg issue...
13. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Mets said Gagnon was going to start this one (v. Corbin) now they say maybe he won't. "Does it even matter any more? Whoever gets to the mound first can start or whatever." Then this is more appropriate:
14. I just don't see Girardi having the patience to deal with Jeffy.
15. =G-Fafif post_id=10452 time=1558301610 user_id=55] the announcement that Doc Gooden tested positive for cocaine the first time.
16. I despise Cano a little more with every passing game.
17. Way to ruin the first night it's nice enough to sit out on the deck and watch the game on my laptop
18. My ears just started ringing...

21. Until your romantic qualifier, my first answer was Newman and Redford. Other than removing Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence from this list, I think it's pretty representative of a top 10
22. Will Toffey's DOB is 12/31/94, not 7/4/00 (that would have made him 18 and in AA!)
23. Pillow Talk was my first, and still my favorite.
24. Better Flo than Jamie.... I went to Jacobs field a few years after it opened. The company I worked for had an office in Westerville, and I made the drive up. I loved the park - spent most of the game on the patio behind the left field fence. This was before Citi was built, and I was enamored with the hope that the Mets would get a stadium just like The Jake. Now I want Shea back.
