  1. I. Want. my. TWO DOLLARS!
  2. If you you're going to make a feature film about Shoeless Joe Jackson coming to Iowa, can you please at the very least get him to bat the right way? That being said, Field of Dreams wins.
  3. Big laughs, some scares, great, if pilfered, theme song. Who you gonna call?
  4. I'm scratching my head at how Police Academy made it to the brackets, never mind that it has 4 votes....
  5. Bull Durham - not even a contest....
  6. this is one of the toughest choices for me so far, but Stand By Me wins
  7. I loved both of these movies, but since I'm a geek, War Games wins
  8. I liked 48hrs. I loved Princess Bride... I need to get one of these shirts
  9. A Christmas Story by a wide margin. This movie is pretty much a classic. there's no way you can say that about BTS.
  10. Raiders is a classic. Fish - not so much.

Airplane! must be holding up well if you're still spewing dialogue inspired by the film Just because I provided the pinch line to what I perceived to be an obvious set up doesn't mean the movie holds up well...

  13. To me, Airplane doesn't hold up well at all. Midnight Run it is
  14. Definitely Die Hard
  15. "Now make like a tree, and get outta here"
  16. No I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD. It's a no-brainer.
  17. Vince Coleman Firecracker wrote: Matthew Broderick kills a family in Ireland, Ben Stein devolves from a genial Nixon apologist to a rabid anti-evolutionist, and Jeffrey Jones, well, ick. Plus, Mia Sara has never loved me he way I once loved her. You forgot that Cameron also killed Kirk, and blasted a big hole in the Enterprise-B
  18. soupcan wrote: AG/DC wrote: Logan's Run. Yeah but she wasn't naked in that. If memory serves the only nudity in Logan's Run was a brief Farrah Fawcett boobie shot. I thought that was in the ridiculous Saturn movie she did with Kirk douglas...
  19. I think The Untouchables wins just on the train station shootout alone...
  20. I loved both movies, but as Fairy said, Risky Business is iconic, and that does it for me.
  21. You're kidding right? Weird Science shouldn't have been in any of the brackets... It's like putting Gonzaga up against Duke. Oh, wait...
  22. Vic Sage wrote: UNTOUCHABLES is classic Hollywood craftsmanship; ROBOCOP is an over-the-top comicbook movie. A close call. But... GO, ROBO, GO!! I agreed with this until the last line....
  23. I can't believe this is that close - Ferris is the Walrus.
  24. What Vic said. I gave it 3 bats - it was too long and dragged out... I enjoyed Batman Begins more.
