The Mets are in Anaheim on the 12th and home on the 14th (so a one-day stop isn't great, especially as it would mean 3 different time zones in 3 days) while COL is home on the 14th.

    I wonder if they'll keep Peterson off the roster for as long as possible in favor of another RP. I'd like to see a 3d C but they don't have one on the 40-man.

    Thin line between great game and groan game. That dog day game will hunt. It was a double-scream day for me "OH-NO!!!" and "YES!!!" A great series win over the headhunters. F them, their "fundies" and their fans.

    I can't believe how much the Mets miss McCann. Nido needs to catch the ball. He's a catcher. It's in the name of the job.

    I know that they are professional hitters who can do magical things and have great eyesight and fantastic skills... but perhaps don't swing at a 2-0 pitch when you are leading off and your team is down 3 runs.

    What a piece of garbage Sewald has become. He stunk as a Met and I can't remember him from any of the myriad of RPs that came and went. Now he's decent so good for him but it's not like we gave a crap about him then or give a crap about him now.

    Rule change: if a RP comes in with a lead, gives up said lead, and then his team scores to make him the winning pitcher, the RP's win reverts to the pitcher who had the lead when that RP entered the game.

    After two innings it appears NBC/Peacock is doing the opposite of Apple+: the graphics are typical, the PBP announcer is the excellent Jason Benetti, the color announcers are from the booths of each team which gives them familiarity with the teams. No novices and no drop-ins who read the Media Guide to us. I can do without on-field interviews (2 so far) and Steve Stone doesn't shut up but so far so good.
