IGT 07/06, Mets at Cincy, Turn Up the Night

Vientos hit his 15th HR of the season tonight for Syracuse. I like JD but I would not be averse to swapping the two. -

Geez, India. Mets batters react like it's a mosquito bite. Get up. -
I LOVE this thread title. https://youtu.be/ftO9ClIhFAohttps://youtu.be/ftO9ClIhFAo

Remember when Pete hit HRs? That was fun.

Hunter Greene throws hard, strikes out many and gives us home runs. The is a good park and pitcher for Pete to get untracked. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-reds/2022/07/04/663036#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=663036https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-reds/2022/07/04/663036#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=663036

Eduardo's translator looks like he could be a ballplayer.

My opinion is that firing your representation after visiting home tells us when added to his crying, that he wishes he stayed. ATL didn't want him at that price given his baseball age. They got a younger model for less money and had the cover of a WS trophy to do this without upsetting the fans too much.

I'm 100% in favor of a pitch clock if only so James McCann can hit a grounder to short faster but that doesn't mean that Manfred likes baseball. He likes serving the interests of the owners. He doesn't care about the fans unless they can serve the interests of the owners. See you on Apple TV on Friday, ESPN soon enough and, as a popular Tweet predicts, your gas pump's screen eventually.

IGT 6/29/2022: HOU@NYM — Don’t Leave Us This Way

2d time in 3 games when they screwed up early as Nimmo's leadoff double was wasted as 3 "All-Stars" did jackshit. -
FF needs to STFU. He will earn $162M in 6 years to play baseball in a world-class city at a time when [certain awful things are happening in America]. Enjoy LA, enjoy playing baseball on a great team, enjoy playing baseball, and stop your sobbing, you jackass.

The Pirates with an ex-Mets two-fer. I wouldn't mind seeing Anthony Banda back in the band. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/pirates-dfa-anthony-banda-release-heath-hembree.htmlhttps://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/pirates-dfa-anthony-banda-release-heath-hembree.html

They deserved to lose this game. I'm pissed that they did but they sucked today. They lost a winnable game against a mediocre team during a pathetic broadcast.
-
Another runner on 2d, no one out, absolutely pathetic.

=Gwreck post_id=97451 time=1656268978 user_id=56] Interesting to not pinch run for Davis.

The first inning, 1st and 2d w/none out, and the 2d inning, 2d w/none out, are big as of now.

I don't give a flying f**k what Jazz Chisholm, Jr. has to say especially when the Mets are up. The camera work is awful, the announcers are interviewing each other. F Manfred for subjecting us to this garbage. OMG, now we're talking about his Grandma.
-
That's how you score a run after a leadoff double. Too bad the Mets couldn't figure it out.

Frayed Knot wrote: Not our highest priority right now (except maybe for bmfc) but the Nats just lost on a walk-off HR It's always nice to hear although given the standings I've had to root for WSH's opponent to not win and it's been awkward.

The Mets go for the sweep starting at 12:05 PM on Peacock. The Mets have not faced Daniel Castano (LHP) this season while David Peterson pitched 6 shutout innings against MIA and got the win last Monday afternoon. If you're not familiar with Peacock, it has the worst interface of any streaming service. It has some good original programming, including "We Are Lady Parts" and "Girls5Eva". https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-marlins/2022/06/26/661380#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=661380https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-marlins/2022/06/26/661380#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=661380

What are they doing at SNY? There was a close call on Nimmo's foul ball down the 1B line, GKR talk about the 1B umps' "rough night" but we don't see a replay of the foul ball to see if the call was correct.

Another day sans McNeil. Perhaps they should have just IL'd him on Tuesday.
