2 questions: How often do head-to-head match-ups feature the same player on both covers? What else was happening on May 5 so that Newsday was the only tabloid to have the Mets' huge comeback on the back cover? Was it the Rangers' playoff game?
=MFS62 post_id=113791 time=1670096713 user_id=60] Buster Olney reporting the Rangers may also be interested in trading for Jim McCann to catch DeGrom. Even if the Mets would have to kick in part of his salary, it might be addition by subtraction.
Sadly, I got this right in the "Bochy, Texas Manager" thread of October 21: "I hope that this doesn't mean that they are "all in" for '23 to the extent that they will do anything to get Jake but Bochy wouldn't come out of retirement for a rebuild."
My initial reaction, after "OH NO" and "F HIM", is that he wanted to pitch elsewhere because Steve Cohen can outbid anybody for anything if he wants to do so.
For all the "de" and "MAX" covers only one of each made the second round (and the "de" was superfluous to he cover"). Six covers did not feature active players: 2 of CitiField, 2 of Mr. Mets, 1 of Doc, and 1 of Gil.

The Post with a pathetic Willie headline as they failed to incorporate Willie's name, nickname, or number and instead used a generic phrase. Did Newsday and The Post go with Serena on September 1?
I'm confused as to why the Newsday cover with Vogelbach is ahead of the News cover with Vogelbach. The News headline is better and has a better picture. I'm gonna cite election irregularities if the inferior Vogelbach cover advances.
