  1. =ashie62 post_id=124642 time=1683486959 user_id=90] How do you fix this team other than being patient? Carrasco not coming back as hoped
  2. Waive Vogelbach right now. Stupid POS. Meanwhile, Vientos hit his 10th HR today.
  3. It's time to part ways with Guillorme and call up Mauricio.
  4. Another lousy start from a pitcher who should be in the minors and yet he's not going anywhere.
  5. They beat a bad team... and it's wonderful.

  7. =ashie62 post_id=124034 time=1682979597 user_id=90] Absolute disaster, bad day for Buck imho
  8. Baty makes me want to see Vientos in the lineup.
  9. =nymr83 post_id=123948 time=1682963282 user_id=54] =bmfc1 post_id=123947 time=1682963189 user_id=73] Buck does it again: bringing back a bad pitcher for another inning. I know it's a DH but Reyes had nothing and Buck's decision cost them 2 more runs.

  11. If you watched the XFL North Division Finals, you learned that DC Defenders Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams (that guy) is Mike Shannon's son-in-law.
  12. No Butto for the Mets on Monday as he was sent back to SYR today.
  13. The Mets get an extra player for the doubleheader which will bring them to the normal number of 26 rather than 27 because MLB feels that the team is complicit when a pitcher is suspended after Phil Cuzzi has determined that there is too much rosin (these will be the last two games of Max's 10-game suspension). With Megill and Butto the likely starters perhaps Peterson will return (if he ever left) to give the Mets a left-handed reliever.
  14. This means that there are no left-handers in the BP.
  15. So for the 3 games (as of now) against the Braves: Peterson, Megill, and Butto. For the 3 games against the Tigers: Scherzer, Senga, Verlander.
  16. =nymr83 post_id=123823 time=1682734908 user_id=54] The Mets really should have taken a page out of the Yankees playbook tonight and done the math - Fried + Peterson + Rain = Sorry, no game!
  17. Peterson pitched a complete game!
  18. "But Peterson is good." Because he got through 4 innings? He is horrible.
  19. They have to find a way to get Peterson back to the minors where he belongs.
  20. Scherzer is scheduled to pitch on Monday, the 11th game after his 10-game suspension, but if there is a rainout today, tomorrow, or Sunday, he can't pitch on Monday.
  21. "Seems", yeah. And his comments after losing to the Mets last year about cheap hits almost confirmed it, but: [bLOCKQUOTE]Strider had been diagnosed with high blood pressure at 18. Unable to pitch, he researched new eating habits. He quit meat and his body appreciated it, he said. Being vegan also “[satisfied] my ethical concerns with the animal-agricultural industry, and those types of things, and the environment,” he said. He found he preferred berries and yogurt to bacon and eggs. “It gives me a joy in eating,” he said. Strider throws with his right hand. But he leans to the left. He studied political science and obsessed over the 2020 election. When asked for Clemson's official website which person, living or dead, he most wished he could dine with, Strider answered Bernie Sanders, the independent senator from Vermont and former Democratic presidential candidate. “To not get extremely political, I just admire his progressive independence, as I like to characterize it,” Strider said. Within the generally conservative culture of baseball, this made him a rarity. “Little Bernie” was an occasional nickname. “Guys liked to egg him on in the locker room about it — but there's no way they'd win, because he'd win a debate with anybody on politics,” See said. He added, “Listening to him talk about politics made me feel like an idiot. Like, ‘God, he knows everything.' “We're like right in the middle of the Bible Belt,” Lee said. “You've got the vegan power right-hander pitcher who's a big Bernie Sanders guy. It was great to have a guy like him in the clubhouse. It wasn't that he was different — he just had no problem sharing with everybody who he was and what he believed in.”[/bLOCKQUOTE] https://theathletic.com/3690316/2022/10/14/spencer-strider-atlanta-braves-strikeout/https://theathletic.com/3690316/2022/10/14/spencer-strider-atlanta-braves-strikeout/ Feel free to think he is if you want. [Lee was his college coach.]

  23. For the moment, this team is giving me Wilpon-ian Era 82-80 vibes.
  24. =Fman99 post_id=123607 time=1682555800 user_id=86] Man fuck the Tomas Nido .119 BA
