Guillorme was down 0-2 and then... https://twitter.com/CespedesBBQ/status/1371173422982643713https://twitter.com/CespedesBBQ/status/1371173422982643713
Martinez is hurt b/c he flubbed a grounder, stumbled to his left, and the disinterested, overpaid, umpire who was flat-footed and not watching the game, failed to move. Robot umps/lasers at every position, please.
Jose Martinez, today's 1B, had to be helped off the field after he stumbled into umpire Greg Gibson who couldn't be bothered to get out the way. Umpires are terrible. All of them. Some are less worthless but all of them are pathetic sacks of overpaid garbage.

=G-Fafif post_id=57371 time=1614882858 user_id=55] ESPN hosting a remote baseball-themed chat show, with one of the locations being Port St. Lucie. Some Mets-Nationals baseball going on in background.
Rude. He's a future star who was articulate in his media appearance. He is also a strong advocate for social justice as shown on his Instagram feed. His acne and tattoo choices are irrelevant.
I'll go with Kevin Pillar. I can see a scenario where he gets more playing time in CF than expected as he regains his defensive brilliance, hits 15 HRs, steals 15 bases, attends a few NY-area Bar Mitzvah's via Zoom and, as a result, is a big part of a winning team.
=Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=56338 time=1613617959 user_id=119] I got to see him play in a spring training game, then again with St. Lucie. He was a good ambassador for baseball and for the Mets.
We haven't had any bad news about the Mets for a week or so. Today we learned that Seth Lugo can't throw for 6 weeks due to a " loose body in his right elbow" that requires surgery. https://newyorkmets.medium.com/medical-update-on-seth-lugo-ad45eca4bf29https://newyorkmets.medium.com/medical-update-on-seth-lugo-ad45eca4bf29
Ignore that. Everyone's ST schedule has been revised to reflect the new reality. For our guys it doesn't mean much as they usually spend most of the time against the same 4 teams. Now, they will spend ALL of the time against the same for teams (4 games, a day off, etc.). https://www.mlb.com/mets/schedule/2021-03?partnerID=redirect-nym-schedule&partnerId=sf138267475&sf138267475=1https://www.mlb.com/mets/schedule/2021-03?partnerID=redirect-nym-schedule&partnerId=sf138267475&sf138267475=1
I think that he would have been a fine bench player. Good fielder, some pop. I went to a spring training game last year "at" Miami. One of the MIA fans, maybe the only one, booed him every time he went to the plate because of his Houston connection. I resented this even though I had no problem with the Port St. Lucie fans jeering every Houston player just a few days before.
