  1. One game for all the NL marbles...I'll take it. Maine's my latest Mets hero. Keep it up O.
  2. Maine 5 Reyes 1 LoDuca 1 Green 1 Mota 1 Bradford 1
  3. That was so good I read it twice. Genius.
  4. Accuweather.com shows a window of cloudy yet rainless skies between 7-11pm local time. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast-hourly.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&zipcode=63101&metric=0 With a name like ACCUweather, it must be true
  5. Beltran 3 Delgado 3 Green 1 Valentin 1 Wright 1 LoDuca 1
  6. Darren Oliver: my lastest Mets hero.
  7. Lastings Milledge was worth not trading for starting pitching.
  8. I'll stick with mine as long as LoDuca and Wright stay with theirs.
  9. #13 blows it on Friday the 13th. My triskaidekaphobia has returned.
  10. Glavine 5 Beltran 2 LoDuca 1 Mota 1 Wagner 1
  11. FOX is taking some liberties with their pitch speed graphics. Miller and Morgan on ESPN radio said last night that FOX's speed was 3-4 MPH more than what the stadium gun was showing. I don't care how young or good Verlander is...I just can't buy that he was repeatedly hitting triple digits after 90+ pitches. FOX baseball sucks.
  12. I would like to see Mets in 5 for a couple reasons: 1) Game Six is a day game and I don't want to have to listen to a possible clincher at work between fielding phone calls. 2) The ALCS should be a more competitive series...meaning that it may go 6 or 7 games. Any advantage we have in setting our rotation with a couple days off while the AL boys throw everything but the kitchen sink in 7 games works to our advantage.
  13. Glavine 4 Chavez 2 Reyes 2 Feliciano 1 Wagner 1

  15. I never, ever, ever thought I'd be saying this on October 4th, but... Where's Dave Williams?
  16. Beard, cap, jersey.
  17. Reyes 10 Beltran 9 LoDuca 8 Glavine 7 Wright 6 Delgado 5 Wagner 4 O Hernandez 3 Valentin 2 Sanchez 1
  18. One more Hernandez in to play short in the 7th.
  19. Elster88 wrote: ="TransMonk"]but as it went, Pedro had very little to do with the Mets on the field success in 2006. I think this is pushing it quite a bit. A lot of what made this year so great was the great start we got off to...and Pedro won 5 in April. You're right, he was great in April. It combats his awful September. Don't get me wrong, I love Pedro and wish he were coming to the postseason with the team and able to pitch because he's one of the best in the game when healthy. But I'll stand by my statement. When I look back on this season in 5 or 10 years Pedro won't be one of the first 20 names to come to mind for me. Unless I remember that he was injured most of the year.
  20. Robocop in for the 6th. Hernandez for Hernandez. Promptly gives up a hit to Tony Pena.
  21. Pedro has a great personality and with his resume is the great face of a franchise. He was one of the team MVPs in 2005. No doubt that Omar doesn't sign all those guys in the offseason without Pedro. So, no matter what happens over the next 2 years...the Pedro signing should be remembered as a good thing. That being said, the Mets record in Pedro's starts over the 2 years is barely over .500. He has either been injured or DL for over a year now. I believe the Mets still would have won the NL East had he not pitched a game this year. Had he been 100% all year, this team could have won 110 games...but as it went, Pedro had very little to do with the Mets on the field success in 2006. The national media will turn the Mets into automatic October underdogs based on this news (which is fine with me), but they aren't any worse than they have been all year without him. This changes nothing but TV ratings.
  22. TBS mentioned Bugs too.
  23. I don't think no Pedro will be any worse than hurting Pedro for what it's worth. The Mets dominated the league this year without Pedro...or at least a healthy Pedro. They'll just have to keep playing like they have all year.
  24. 4 to 6 weeks...might as well be 4 to 6 months...if not more.
  25. El Duque shames the rookie with the sloe stuff to end the 3rd. Oh we're the boys of the chorus we hope you like our show We know you're rooting for us but now we have to go What's up doc, what's cooking What's up doc, are you looking For Bugs Bunny's bunting doc has gone a-hunting Just to get a rabbit's skin but now that rabbit's gone again What's up doc, what's cooking Hey, look out, stop!!!
