  1. Not that it's costing us the game by any stretch, but the umps certainly aren't having any better of a game than the Mets are.
  2. Holycrap, cooby...I was thinking Billy Idol, too.
  3. At least the booth's having fun. Matter of fact, they're laughing it up as if this were a blow out.
  4. Hey Eaton, let's see your Perez impression.
  5. Any confidence gained by the nice performance in ATL is probably dashed for Perez now. Golly, Ollie, that was awful.
  6. Farmer Ted wrote: 19,031. Attendance for the Indians "home game" in Milwaukee. Not sure if the fans in Milwaukee are that good, or they just wanted to see a really good game for once. That's a lot of peeps in the stands.Tickets are also being sold for $10 meaning that casual baseball fans can go see a MLB game without spending an arm and two legs for tickets. I don't care about the Indians or the Angels, but I'm only a little over an hour away from Miller Park...if it wasn't for the raging snowstorm we've been having all day, I would have seriously considered driving to see a game tonight at those prices.
  7. Caught the end of the A's game last night on TV. It was my first game seeing Mike Piazza wearing an Athletic's uniform. The A's rallied past Bobby Jenks and the White Sox to win in the ninth 2-1. Mike is off to a hot start going 13 of 36 with 3 doubles and a homer as a full time DH.
  8. Gwreck wrote: ="A Boy Named Seo"] in Milwaukee.Doesn't somebody in the Selig family still have an ownership interest in that team? (I assume that game would at least turn somewhat of a profit with concessions, parking, etc..) Not anymore, Selig's daughter sold it prior to last year to Mark Attanasio.
  9. Delgado 3 Alou 1 Beltran 1 Valentin 1 Wright 1 Reyes 1 Franco 1 LoDuca 1
  10. Perez 5 Reyes 3 Green 1 LoDuca 1
  11. I'll be tuning into TBS tonight...watching some of my least favorite announcers drool over how the Braves are back after their sweep of the Phils.
  12. Maine 5 Beltran 2 LoDuca 1 Green 1 Reyes 1
  13. OHernandez 6 Reyes 1 Beltran 1 Heilman 1 Wagner 1
  14. I totally had the Brewers in the original thread. You want to split Elster?
  15. Glavine 4 LoDuca 2 Delgado 1 Green 1 Beltran 1 Valentin 1
  16. I went with Wright. He's been a model of consistency through his short career. If Jose follows up his '06 campaign with an as good or better year in '07, I might be swayed. Personality-wise, Jose has the better smile and looks like he's having fun. But I can't understand a thing he says. On the other hand, sometimes I wish I couldn't understand what Wright is saying. He goes to the extreme of answering every question by the book. It sometimes makes him look like a squeaky clean dork or a big fat liar.
  17. I think Green's job is guaranteed. He will hit at least .275 with 15 HR in the seven spot. He has averaged 157 games per year since 1998, meaning the dude never gets hurt. Everyone pining for Milledge will have to wait until Alou gets hurt...which he will. But he won't take Green's spot and will start the year in New Orleans.
  18. IIRC, Gary or Keith mentioned during Wednesday's broadcast that the early batting orders didn't mean much. Willie is just trying to maximize certain players' number of at-bats on certain days due to all of the substitutions.
  19. I've always been kinda good at guessing the third best. I'll give it another go...
