  1. Wright 3 Trachsel 2 Reyes 1 Beltran 1 Delgado 1 Bradford 1 Green 1
  2. Plain old ugly at bat by Reyes to end the 7th. Swung in front of three breaking balls. Pulling his head on everyone. That'll cost him some Schaefer here.
  3. Through 5 and one third innings for the Mets: 13 hits, 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs. Humified balls my ass...This is the Colorado I know and love.
  4. metirish wrote: Not for nothing but the way Gary is talking about Trax you'd think he's fucking terrible, yeah he has a shit ERA and gets great run support but you know what he's a winning pitcher...leave Trax alone. I agree...there's something about him that makes the offense go. Maybe it's luck, but there's no denying it's a winning combo.
  5. They play in the NL West...the Dodgers play in "Shavez" Ravine. I'm guessing that's where the pronunciation is coming from. Not that it makes it any more correct.
  6. Looks like Drew Goodman and George Frazier.
  7. The Rockies TV crew is pretty good. I've come to dread road games with MLB TV...but these guys seem knowledgable and realistic about their ballclub. A far cry from most homer announcers.
  8. Reyes now has as many home runs this month as he had all last year.
  9. Hey BK...walks kill.
  10. A little bit...it comes and goes.
  11. ="Gwreck"]Mets Reyes SS LoDuca C Beltran CF Delgado 1B Wright 3B Green RF Valentin 2B Chavez LF Trachsel P I am very confident with that as a playoff lineup.
  12. That's another good idea...thanks! Mets.com's Shea info lists the dimensions of what you can bring into the park as 16"x16"x8". Neither of our bags will be nearly that big. We'll check out the lockers coming into town on Monday, though. It may be the best idea after all.
  13. Thanks for all the great replies. Pretty much everything I wanted to hear. We plan on having a blast. We thought about the fact that we would be departing directly from the game and what kind of baggage we would have. Since we'll only be gone over 2 nights and we can't take many toiletries on airplanes these days anyway, we are each only taking a change of clothes and little else. My wife has a large purse that is as big as a tote bag and I'll bring a knapsack. Hopefully we won't have much trouble getting them in the park if we let security ruffle through it.
  14. The wife and I are making the trip to Queens next week for the Braves series. It is her wedding gift to me and we are both excited since in my 21 years of being a Mets fan this will be my first trip to Shea. We are flying out of Madison early Monday, connecting in Chicago and landing at LaGuardia in the mid-afternoon. We are staying at the Comfort Inn on 37th Avenue in Flushing. We have tickets for Monday night, Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon before flying back Wednesday night. Now, I know my way around Manhattan in a pinch, but have no knowledge of Queens at all. Question 1: The hotel boasts that it is within walking distance of Shea and mapquest puts it as less than a mile away. We do not mind walking a mile and back to the game, but we have also read reviews of the hotel stating that it is not the most accessible walk. Can we (should we) expect to be able to walk to the game? With tennis in town that week, it seems to me to be the most logical option, but thought I'd check with local folks to be sure. Question 2: The game on Wednesday will most likely end sometime around 4:00 (unless Trachsel's pitching). Our flight from LaGuardia leaves between 7 and 7:30. Is there somewhere near the ballpark that we can catch a cab to the airport? Again, with tennis in town I didn't think it would be hard, but is there a designated place at Shea? Anyway, hope to see the Mets win a couple and maybe I'll see some of yous there.
  15. Game postponed until tomorrow at 12:10.
  16. With Detroit's loss tonight, the Mets are now tied for the least losses in all of baseball and are just a game back from being tied for best record.
  17. Beltran 2 Delgado 2 Chavez 2 Green 2 Oliver 1 Feliciano 1
  18. KC wrote: Lieber will give those runs back. I'd love to believe that. He's had our number the last month.
  19. Reyes 3 Woodward 2 Delgado 2 Chavez 1 Wagner 1 Wright 1
  20. Delgado 3 Beltran 2 Bradford 2 Mota 1 Heilman 1 LoDuca 1
  21. Schaefer will be a bitch with this one. Great game!
