  1. For fuck's sake. Kick his ass out the door.
  2. Yup. That's the one. BOC

  4. As an aside, @Super70sSports is a must-follow on Twitter.
  5. I also liked it. It has a great soundtrack that alternates between Trent Reznor synths and Jon Batiste jazz.

  7. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Terry was about a hundred times better than I thought he would be. I'm here. Coincidentally, news must have leaked that he got the job exactly 10 years ago today. Facebook reminded me that I was "doubtful yet hopeful" about the news.
  8. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I don't think we like Cohen. We just like his money. This.
  9. I really could not care less. But I voted for LA. At the end of the day, I'm an NL guy...even in this bastardized season of 2020.
  10. I took a chance on the Athletic at $1 per month for six months. I'm looking mostly for NFL coverage, but I'm looking forward to checking in on Tim Britton's work, too.
  11. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: I don't blame him or anyone else for opting out, you had to expect some guys would... The more it looks like this season will turn into a rona-shitshow, the more I expect players to opt out. Why risk your short or long term health for a season that looks more and more like it will collapse in on itself?
  12. Ces' First Mets Game: August 1, 2015 Ces' Last Mets Game: August 1, 2020 He missed a couple in between.
  13. Honesty, I watched the first and second Mets games, but tuned out after that. I can't justify spending time and energy on a season that seems due to fail. It's bordering on embarrassing that they continue to think this has a chance of getting to October.
  14. Absolutely. This season is the perfect time to introduce this strategy.
  15. This whole experiment was tenuous at best. I didn't think it would happen so quickly, but this situation seemed inevitable. I really hope MLB has the balls to cut bait once it becomes obvious that playing this season is going to be even MORE of a clusterfuck. But I have a feeling they will continue to wring every game out of this no matter how much of an embarrassing struggle it becomes. The NFL is watching and hopefully taking notes.
  16. A pitcher's duel victory on Opening Day in under three hours? Yes, please. Yeah, I missed baseball.

  18. 1. The Mets record (60 games). 31-29 2. Where will they finish in the NL East? 3rd 3. Will The Mets make the playoffs (yes/no)? No. 4. If so, how far will they advance and the number of games in their final round? N/A 5. How many home runs will Pete Alonso hit? 20
  19. Are going for winning percentage or actual wins and losses (meaning we'd be predicting if they pull the plug on the season, too)?
  20. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Retractable roofed stadiums because they need to be so tall almost always look terrible and not much like stadiums, from the outside. The dbacks stadium looks like an oversized beverage distributor or maybe an airplane hanger from the outside. It's only when you approach the entrance that it looks okay. But this Rangers thing looks worse. This. Miller Park suffers the tall problem, too. That Rangers stadium looks awful.
