My cell phone, via MLBTR, says the Astros are 'listening to' offers on George Springer. He's an extremely talented slugger, knocked by injuries in each of his first 2 seasons. He's played RF and CF for Houston, and my cell phone sez they want pitching back, naming dudes like Carlos Carrasco (CLE) and closer Andrew Miller (NYMFY), neither player alone seemingly enough to seal a deal. He's arbitration eligible in 2017 and can't be a free agent until 2021. Would you try to make a deal for George Springer to be our new CF? What would you give up? I'll start with Wheeler, Lagares, Nimmo, and our Daniel Murphy QO draft pick (can you trade draft picks??). Still, that may not be good enough, but what the hell do I know? Regardless, it would be cool to see the Mets get real creative and nab a young, budding star from somewhere else. What is your opinion of George Springer?
