  1. Wish we could get a do-over on that terrible first inning... Jay Bruce is garbage. Let him win the poker game on the plane ride or some shit, dude needs cahn-fidence.
  2. Edgy MD wrote: Intentionally walking the Murph to get to Harper? Collect your million dollars if you predicted before this season seeing that ever happening. A topsy-turvy world we live in. And 1000% the right call!
  3. "This James Loney guy, you gotta check him out." Thanks for the scoop, G. Post had the same stuff about not hitting Nimmo leadoff and sitting Conforto. Did they ask him about that crap?
  4. Lefty Specialist wrote: Hey, this is fun. It's a different kind of fun than 2015, but fun nonetheless. It so much is. This team has more flaws than last year's, but there's other flawed teams clawing to get in, too. Why not this collection?
  5. Fman99 wrote: Conforto, going all Rudy Stein and taking one for the team. 6-4 good guys. Comcast is poop. It's still 1-1 to Conforto here in NM. Tell me who wins and I'll drop a quick bet on Bovada.
  6. Checking in to offer my appreciation for Asdrubal, doing all the good while limping around like my old grandpappy. Keep it going, dudes.
  7. Yeah, poor Harv and David have been reduced to team painters.
  8. LOL @ Wilmer and the little 'Friends' banner.
  9. Was just looking up Dominic Smith and saw him listed at 250 pounds on baseball-reference and milb.com!?! He was listed at 185 when we drafted him. Is he going all Mo Vaughn on us? He's only 6' tall. Pretty nice season this year, FWIW. .302/.367/.457 and finally double-digit homers with 14. Ps - stoners eat shitty food and a lot of it. Just sayin.
  10. Great. That was a game that around the 4th or 5th inning, I thought we could easily fumble due to missed opps. This team is weird and somehow winning!
  11. Centerfield wrote: I'm following on Gamecast. How close was that double to being a game-tying GS? Off the top of the wall. Couple of feet, tops.
  12. Ynoa doesn't look good. I mean his Abe Lincoln beard, of course, but the pitching part is shaky, too.
  13. Wilmer will be there for you.
  14. Damn, Jose, just chill at 2nd, bro. Give Grandy a shot at an actual RBI.
  15. Good Grandy. The Mets have to lead the majors in solo HR's right? I looked up before the game and they were 4th in all of baseball in homers and 27th in RBIs. Good lawd.
  16. Yeah but this game is giving me bad feels. The Mets are struggling to be up 2-0. They gotta have a big inning and put these turds away.
  17. Haven't heard Keith be so crotchety and angsty in a long time. It's hilarious.

And whatever you do, do not stay in the Baseball Town Motel. That was the last dump in town the weekend I went through and stayed. I remember it being like a dirty kids room with schlockey baseball stuff everywhere. Beautiful, quiet town to just walk around in.
  19. For all the bitching about DeAza, Gomez has somehow, amazingly been a worse player. I have old crap boxed up in my garage that I've forgotten about that I probably wouldn't trade right now for Carlos Gomez. If he cleared waivers and we could sign him for league minimum, then welcome back, bro!
  20. Yah I was really thinking about Sandy yesterday, and that stupid trade that didn't happen, and how different the team would've been down the stretch last year and how it would look today without Ces (and Wilmer and Wheeler), with Fulmer back in fold, and dealing with Gomez ourselves. Alternate timeline 2015-16 Mets looks crappier to me. But for next to nothing, I guess it wouldn't hurt to kick Gomez's shoddy tires now.

Nada. But I was drinking very heavily down the stretch in 2007. Thanks, Mets.
