  1. I'm reluctant to say I'm in ... last couple of tries I kind of feel like participation repellent. I'm in. But only if Kase shows up.
  2. The twenty-ninth best Cub of all time, also a living, breathing 1952 Brooklyn Dodger.
  3. FMart, with Hairston on second.
  4. Wow. I'm going to have to remember how to work the remote again.
  5. R.A. Dickey debuts successfully! Angel Pagan initiates a triple play! Angel Pagan hits an inside the park home run! Mets lose!
  6. NL's best interleague record?
  7. In the 80's, the Mets had a fastballer nicknamed Doc. Now, the Mets have a knuckleballer who shares a name with a doc. Meet Dr. Robert A. Dickey of Oklahoma City. In case you were wondering, no, his specialty isn't urology. OE - I just noticed in an above post that JCL was quicker with the Dickey than I was.
  8. IT'S LIMA TIME!
  9. It's a reasonable assumption that any trivia questions on a paper 2011 calendar implicitly have "as of December 31, 2010" appended to them. So I'd give the point to CF. And if 1+1 had been 4 last month, then I'd call 4 the correct answer to that question, too.
  10. EdgyDC wrote: Hey, whoah... non-Mets. Moe Berg deserves some sort of honorary status. I read somewhere that his last words were "How did the Mets do today?"
  11. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Fernando Nieve It took me a second, but I laughed. Milner?
  12. Ryne Duren, 81, who was famous for scaring the living crap out of batters with a Nolan Ryan fastball and Ollie P control.

Whoa, there...I know there's a huge groundswell of support for Raines here in the CPF, but he's still only at 37.5% in the BBWAA. I wouldn't forge his plaque just yet. I was happy about Carter going in as an Expo despite his Metliness, because I figured he'd be the first and last. I didn't think Raines was quite good enough and Dawson wasn't even on my radar.
