  1. Two 3-2 sliders that missed. Throw fucking strikes.
  2. Mets are are playing some terrible baseball the past week and a half.
  3. Yeah. That gear sucks. Let's get some hits guys.
  4. Vientos swings at some of the dumbest pitches. Was last year a fluke?
  5. What is his expected debut date? We have no lefties in the pen suddenly.
  6. Home plate blue is awful.
  7. Don't agree with Mendy giving this kid a second inning.
  8. It's crazy that the Mets last three losses could all be the fault of Ryne Stanek.
  9. Big free agent pitcher, the likes of which are typically shunned by the Mets, takes the mound against TBD. We are starting TBD because we shun the likes of Corbin Burnes. Not sure how ESPN does the odds, but their matchup predictor gives the Mets a 63.1% chance of winning. Not sure the math behind that. Anyway, we go for our third straight! Will be interesting to see if BG has dated anyone named Burnes or TBD.
  10. We are not allowed to have lefty relievers.
  11. If I remember correctly, Curtis went yard the day I started the thread. He went on a team and it continued right through the post-season.
  12. DBacks and Mets. It's April. But tie-breakers matter!
  13. Hoping it works. You can't overuse the reverse jinx. I think I tried it on someone last year and it didn't work. In fact, I don't know that it's worked at all since my original thread on Curtis Granderson.
  14. Made it through that dangerous bottom 7.
  15. This is not a game, this is a statement.
  16. He reminds me a lot of Curtis Granderson.
  17. Is there such a thing as a "must-win" in April when you have the best record in baseball and lead the division by 4 games? Probably not. But you want to erase the ugliness of yesterday as soon as possible. And the schedule gets much tougher from here on out. The bullpen is showing its warts. We lost Minter. Butto sucks. Soto hasn't Soto-ed yet. And Nimmo looks completely lost. Let's see if the boys can bounce back.
  18. And it's not some small sample size either. His OPS by Month: April 2025: .575 September 2024: .611 August 2024: .684 July 2024: .607 June 2024: 1.004 May 2024: .751 April 2024: .708 His last seven months of ABs. 1 great month. One good month. 5 shitty months. He's only 32 years old. I hope that guy is not shot.
  19. As shitty a loss as I can remember in some time. When I was flying back from Spain last year, there was a Jake Diekman special where the Mets blew a 6-0 game. Had to be late June. Wow, this sucked.
  20. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: You couldn't get the toothpaste back in It's reviewable if exact same thing happens in the outfield and would have the exact same problem about what to do with the runners. And, in this case, it's very clear what would happen: Winker is out at first, Nimmo safe at third, Vientos safe at second. Also, wtf was the umpire doing making the safe sign when they threw the ball to second base? He assumed, like everyone else, that the ball bounced.
  21. 3.73 ERA vs. 3.27 ERA. Poor Phillies are trying to avoid the sweep and have to go into the game with a pitching disadvantage.
  22. Braves lose to the Cardinals. Great night.
  23. Amazing. What a big win to take the series. Griffin Canning outpitches Cristopher Sanchez.
