"I deserve to use his release as an excuse to grill the GM!" This is how Sherman vents his anger when his beloved MFYs lost to the Mets. He's a petty little shit and loves to bash the Mets. He must have typed that with only one hand. Later
  2. Pitch around Freddy F'n Freeman. Later

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest assault probably isn't the something to 'do.' Yeah, I know, Kase. It won't help the Mets , probably, at all. But i'm not sure which is worse, going to jail or suffering through this season. I'll find something else to do. Later
  4. Isn't it the Sunday night game? Or did the network switch it for something more competitive? Later
  5. I'm going to get out my frustrations by beating the crap out of that little YLDB twit if he says anything to me in the office Monday morning. And I mean ANYTHING, like "good morning". I've been meaning to do it all season, so this will be as good a time as any. Later
  6. An YLDB (a woman) who used to work next to me just posted a picture of the line score on my facebook page. On MY FACEBOOK PAGE!!! Where's Samantha Bee when we need her? Later
  7. He's not on the 40 man roster, but is Fernando Abad still in the organization? He just got hit with an 80 game suspension for using PEDs. Later

  9. Right. You have to be flexible based on the roster you have. Tony LaRussa might have kept his starters in longer, or pitching changes to a minimum, with this bullpen. Later
  10. We are all waiting breathlessly for one of Fmann's classic KTEs. The games themselves will pale by comparison. Oh, Joe Beningo on WFAN suggests that his fellow Mets fans go out of town for the weekend to avoid both the games and MFY fans. I disagree. It will be so much fun to revel in the victories, starting with tonight. Later
  11. Bad isn't the word for it. But it will have to suffice until it is replaced in the thread title by something worse. Later
  12. Fman99 wrote: Listened on XM at work. Usually my success in streaming the games on XM at work is mixed. I kind of wished I had had less success pulling in today's broadcast. You would have had more enjoyment pulling something else. (Yes, you inspire me. I've been Fmanned) Later
  13. Guess my IGT-ing didn't work out to well, eh? It will now go on hiatus. Thank you for your applause. (Trying to find some humor in this very suckable slide) Later
  14. Wheeler VS Bundy. That's Dylan Bundy. But it could be Al Bundy, Ted Bundy or Irving Bundy, the way the Mets are hitting. Doesn't matter. Every day is D-Day (for defeat) lately. Later
  15. Last night, the 51's beat the New Orleans team 11-10. The New Orleans team name is the Baby Cakes. Just sayin'. BTW- CF Kevin Kaczmarski, leading off for Las Vegas, is hitting .424. Later
  16. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Grant Brisbee gave our pick a D. But in all fairness to Tommy Tanous, those rocs are quieter than you'd think, and grade out at, like, a 70 for speed, easy. I think his point was that because he was drafted by the Mets he is destined to failure. He also basically admitted that judging these guys so early is a crapshoot. I have hope, despite the usual sarcasm in my response above. Later

  18. Oh great. He "loves to swing the bat" on a home made field (because his town doesn't have one?) with friends and family pitching? So would I. And he hits lefty? Wonderful. Has he even batted against a lefty throwing a breaking ball? Ever? His ML comp is Mark Kotsay? I'll save you looking it up. Mark Kotsay was a career .276/ .332/ .404 hitter with a 96 OPS score. Oh. He's an outfielder. At least he's not a shortstop. (S/M = 94. I think it needs a tune up) But, the last time the Mets drafted a player with similar background (small town with no HS team, lefty hitter) it was Brandon Nimmo. That's worked out OK. So who knows? Later
  19. Its starting to look more and more like the Yearbook Cover Derby is going to be the most exciting thing we'll be following this year. Later
  20. Edgy MD wrote: This strategy, if indeed it was his strategy, didn't particularly hold when Gonzalez (to Howie's description) waved feebly at the two-run hit that effectively put the game out of reach for the Mets. Past his bed time? Later
  21. Centerfield wrote: So basically, this offense is waiting in frustration for Brandon Nimmo to come up. Then if he makes an out, being especially disheartened because you won't see him again for 2 innings. Having flashbacks to some of the teams in the 70s - after one or two hitters there was nothing to wait for. I knew it wasn't possible for the other hitters in the lineup to generate any runs. Later
  22. G-Fafif wrote: Matz, finger notwithstanding, slated to start Sunday. Syndergaard, finger notwithstanding, may start next weekend vs MFYs. The Mets should contact Jackie Mason. He's got a finger for everybody. Later
  23. The Cubs are playing like they're still pissed off over 1969 and this has been festering since then. Later
  24. Fman99 wrote: Boy this game went to shit. Robles has given up 16 HRs in 71 innings since the start of 2017. So, that sucks. And the relief pitchers in the minors might be a little too arm weary to bring up. Binghamton lost 11-10 last night and Las Vegas lost 20-3. Actually, they might just be too weary - period. Think of all the running they did to back up third. Later
