  1. Let's get Petey the win he deserves
  2. Lagares going oppo yard was somehow more surprising than Davis' yips
  3. I wish I believed you'd hit, Nido. But I'd be very surprised if he makes this a tough decision when dArnaud comes back.
  4. Not for nothing but the MFYs suck this year. Baltimore is barely a MLB team and took 2 of 3 at their home, and the beatdown yesterday should have been much worse
  5. I think that was one of my dumbass ideas that I typically didn;t follow through on
  6. Three good portraits and a famous painting. The NYT cover is really striking but "Los Mets" was a bullshit story. It just happened to be the narrative that attached itself to a one of those periods where the Wilpons try to disprove what idiots they are by doing stupid things more conspicuously than usual. Plus the black hat looks so bad. I'm gonna go with hard-looking Lee over thoughtful Seav
  7. Yeah, he's inherited all the pent-up hate I used to have for Harvey. This is a relatively recent development in my evolving fandom, hating on a particular guy like this. It's not really me. I mean, I wanna see Matz do well. It's just, he gets more credit for good and less scrutiny for bad, than just about anyone. So I feel like I have to support the underdogs, the Scrutinizers.
  8. I have to say, I'd have preferred Mesoraco starting yesterday's game over Nido who came up at least twice in situations where an extra-base hit would have been really important. I mean it's not that extra-base hits are ever unimportant, it was just... They should have PHed for him 3 times but can only do it once. There's some Twitter wound lickers arguing the Mets are doing this guy dirty but they can't just let a guy walk because he wants to, they'd possibly lose the whole team that way. That said if Nido continues to have games like yesterday (he also foolishly threw a ball into center field on a ball-4 stealing attempt) I'd consider Meso but he's gotta swallow his pride, fire his agent, report to Syracuse, beat out Rene Rivera, and hope d'Arnaud remains a medical scratch.
  9. This would be a devastating comeback

  11. JD Davis, cleanup man. I guess this is the against-lefties lineup for now
  12. I'm also WERRIED about Syndergaard. Gave away 2 three run leads, and probably should have been worse. If Robles doesn't get picked off, forget it.
  13. This is really only the 3rd 11-8 game ever? Amazin'
  14. 1 pitch save. Booooooooooks
  15. What a great looking lineup we have this year
  16. C'mon Syndy. Don't give it back
  17. I'm replying on my phone using voice see if this
  18. Edgy MD wrote: Wilmer made moving his body look hard. On the bases and in the field for sure. But he had one of the easiest looking swings in club history.
  19. The article is about 20 times more woundlicky than the video because you can't write for deadspin and not ironically lolmets at yourself. So bored of that take
  20. Willets Point wrote: Jesus, this story will be 20 years old this year. Amazin
