Rock biopics have come a long way from Athens: Inside-Out As discussed here previously the Van Halen origin story could be a dynamite movie. The KISS origin story: Are you kidding? Would be so fucking great. The latter idea is such a guaranteed Moneymaker I'm surprised Gene $immons hasn't done 3 versions already

Statistically, he couldn't hit his 53rd until he hit the other 52. Right I'm referring to the above assertion that the 53rd itself was the season's "most memorable moment." It most definitely was not.
How could they screw that detail up?!? I may be remembering FBGs as KYA... I just remember it totally didn't sit well with me and every moment after that I met with complete cyncism.
I could give a 🐀 s ass about a counting stat milestone, especially one completed in the season's garbage time. I'll remember he got 53 but he hit plenty of more memorable ones . And as pointed out the phrase rookie sultan of swat is a mouthful. STREAKERS is immediate, important, unique, works on multiple levels and happened when it very much mattered.
3 JOG is a winner. It has fun, it pokes fun, it IS fun, and perfectly captures a unique event. MANE MAN is fine, the picture is good, but the headline could accompany almost any important event for Syndy
You can see a problematic irony for MLB in light of pushing robot umps, instant replay and profiting from pitchfx and other information gleaned from technology. It's a different thing but disruptive and in retrospect you could see this coming

Mendozy's got a hell of a conflict of interest here, doesn't she? She's serving both as a decision-maker within baseball and a commentator on MLB decisions. and acts as though she's bound by neither. She's shitting on the game and on the media but is employed by both
Given that we're 3+ weeks from spring training, Collins makes sense. Been there, done that and all. Still a member of the org and Fred and the writers all like him. I'm not his biggest suppotrter but there's some comfort there. In the biz world, this kind of thing happens all the time. When a CEO leaves suddenly they often bring in his predecessor in off the board, at least to start. But given they just finished interviewing a few months ago if BoGo made a good impression then maybe they ask him back.

=Centerfield post_id=29796 time=1579129763 user_id=65] If the Mets fire him, I'm going to be interested to see if they also release JD Davis. And if not, an explanation as to why there is different treatment for the 2017 teammates.
