  1. Once they fell behind again I stopped to eat and forgot about it. Returned just in time to see Davis cross home. Good win for the good guys
  2. Too much White Sox on that windup
  3. McNeils head is finally emerging from his ass
  4. Jake Marisnick is suddenly our best hitter
  5. The Seaver card. Look at his eyes and forehead
  6. Tom's looking a little undead there, Mr. Typewriter
  7. I biked around the building a bunch this year, at least before they locked all the gates, and hadn't seen anything though confess not be looking for much beyond Jack Leathersich walking from the 7 train pretending to talk on his cellphone so as not to be bothered by me, which actually did happen once. No evidence of a Jack Leathersich statue, neither
  8. I'm not saying, I'm just saying, you know? It's not the right season to start the way he has.
  9. Yeah that's the thing about Seaver, he was not only the best but the best at being the best. He embodied a rare kind of greatness, talented but also a craftsman, mindful and prideful and protective of what it meant to be excellent.
  10. Nice socks on this Castro fellow
  11. Frazier to wear No. 33, DiComo says
  12. He's been awful all year long
  13. This is a good quiz but I unfortunately I don't store my Todd Information in a place I can easily retrieve it, except for Todd Zeile, and so I think the correct answer to *all* of these questions is "Todd Zeile" On the first question I'll say -Hundley, Pratt, Zeile, Frazier, Todd, Heaney 9-Zeile appeared in his own produced film DIRTY DEEDS 5. Kinsley, Kansas
  14. He was a guy capable of a good inning now and again but not enough "stuff" to keep him in a job. I was rooting for him. Given this week's moves we'd probably have been better off having not ever traded Plawecki in the first place
  15. Yeah I suppose they like what they see in Castro who's relatively young and has some ability but a spotty track record and an aggressively sideways cap. Frazier, as relayed here a million times already is the kind of player I find aesthetically displeasing, with that ugly, leaning over one-handed swing, frequent whiffs and baggy-ass pants. He is a good third baseman but it's all a kind of compromise as he's an old, less exciting version of Davis if a nominal power upgrade on the Gimenez/Guillermo temporary solution. But geez, do we want to go the world series with Todd Frazier?
  16. Far as I can tell the Mets picked up three shitty players, all of whom might still be around next year, for a decent prospect, which I guess makes sense were the goal to lean into shitty.
  17. Always loved that Murray card with the Topps statue. What a badass pic https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/1978/O-Pee-Chee---Base/154/Eddie-Murray.jpg?id=08ac7592-253f-4cce-8d20-b0eb9d5b31a3&size=original> I'm on deck now but when I get up I'm going bash whatever you throw at me, mf.
  18. 36 year old .236 career hitter, so you know it's impactful.
  19. Robinson Chirinos, who's on the Rangers, is the guy acquired. Kevin Smith to the O's apparently a second deal or a 3-way we don;t have the details from yet.
  20. Mets trade for "a catcher" from the Orioles, send P prospect Kevin Smith, per radio guys, probably reading twitter
