Well, turns out he's single as far as I can tell but has a girly named Shelby.     I'd still rather have Kellenic but in this crazy season where everything Mets has been topsy turvy, last year's most reviled Met, Cano, is this year's best, not even close. And last year's darling, Alonso, has hurt the Mets more than any other batter, by a lot, even though no one's saying anything about that because ... you know ... Alonso.     It'[s great marketing but the Mets can't or won't be bothered. The Met thing to do would be to collect them in bunches and then have Paul Sewald and Nimmo do a camera-ready donation to a little league or something. Cheaper and from the Mets' POV the kind of wide-ranging PR pop they like. The one-to-one marketing with fans is all transactional in nature to them.

The problem isn't that they scored only 3 times after bags-loaded/no outs (2.5 is about the norm) ... it's that they scored only one additional run after they cashed in two and still had 2nd & 3rd/no outs even though they tacked on another double. Yeah and add in the dumb baserunning, the stupid managerial challenges that are ineffective (I feel like you should win 90% of those you initiate) the hbps, the walks on both sides, the bad outfielding on both sides. Just awful baseball
