  1. I was watching with the sound off during the mcneil event. He looked pissed at Rojas for failing to support him. Is that so? Has Rojas even broken his ejection cherry yet?
  2. He's got the Good Face, that's for sure. Guys seem to hit rockets off him but if the gloves show up and Alonso doesn't strike out 4 times we have a chance
  3. What this game needs is another replay
  4. 9/11 2018: Tuesday Night Mets Club watches Mets fail to support deGrom despite a decent outing, Gselly and Swarzak put it out of reach even of a 2 out 9th inning home run by Plawecki
  5. I feel safe to check out the Islanders here
  6. Enjoying Wayne and Keith talking college football here
  7. We're kicking ass but getting cheated on the broadcasts, with Gary off on TV and Eddie C on radio
  8. I went there once probably in 84. I'm not much for heights and "amusement" in the best of times, can remember being terrified just climbing the wooden steps of the big waterslide that was basically a straight drop and it occurring to me then how easy it would be to die on it.
  9. I'd have totally tried to sign Wheeler. I suspect tho that Brodie/Fred/Jeff tried and failed to move him last deadline after getting Stroman as a short-term cost-saver and only wound up with 5 above-average guys by accident. But look where it (almost) got them! I don;t reflexively blame everything on Lousy Cheapass Management and these guys get a relatively long leash from me becasue I understand it's difficult but the Wheeler transition to me seems obviously badly played beginning to end, sure seems Lousy and Cheapass, and was an even a bigger mistake letting him go to a division rival. By the way I totally invented the "Five No. 1s" idea advanced above online wrt the Dmico/Estes rotation, mainly as something to justify all the energy I was going to spend rooting for them.
  10. I like him for 4 (upon which Jed Lowrie needlessly squats) or 7 (available). 15 almost seems too high.
  11. Fattened up on the MFYs recently but everyone but us do that
  12. Big hit. Now we can give it back and lose in stupid extras
  13. I was willing to buy into damico too. Estes was total fake news
  14. Yeah, even better. Those 2 guys part of that disaster off-season
  15. You know who these two stiffs remind me of? Ricardo Jordan and Toby Borland. Two vets acquired over the off-season in place of a popular guy (the former signed to "replace" Wheeler, the latter acquired in a deal for Rico Brogna. Both pairs got off to lousy starts that threatened to ruin their clubs' respective seasons, only the 97 Mets still had the ability to cashier them before it was too late. Toby and Ricardo were among the first hated Mets and top topics of online fan derision on the young mofo, the forefather of our crane pool
  16. Gzelly and Syndergaard all over Instagram posting pics of themselves doing ridiculous workouts all winter long and neither helping a bit this year
  17. Didn't think I'd see the Mets lose any worse than the Islanders did last night, but there you go.
  18. Wacha getting rock-ahed
  19. Adam 12 sucked by the way. Emergency much better show
  20. Winning run at the plate. #LGM
  21. It was such a nice weekend, too. 😡
