  1. Marci Cahna is a Notre Dame grad an architect, and a mother of 2. Say hi to Marci! http://res-2.cloudinary.com/ybmedia/image/upload/c_scale,f_auto,q_auto,w_700/v1/m/1/b/1b3c0142a30254b2a21fa835255256b9c923b4ee/Mark_Canha.jpghttp://res-2.cloudinary.com/ybmedia/image/upload/c_scale,f_auto,q_auto,w_700/v1/m/1/b/1b3c0142a30254b2a21fa835255256b9c923b4ee/Mark_Canha.jpg>
  2. I like that the ballplayers like him 👍
  3. And to think I met his car dealer. I suppose in a matter of taste I would prefer Conforto but this is a solid and the, a better for us, solution
  4. what a douche Cohen is.
  5. =duan post_id=81702 time=1637745235 user_id=99] It looks like he won't be making any new memories in Orange & Blue Apparently going to the Cards - 4 years & 44 million.

For Matz I'm sure it'll come down something like that vs. an every-five-days struggle for a dreadful club like the Orioles. I'm kinda surprised by the mild reaction here from JCL. Don;t get me wrong. I find Matz deeply untrustworthy, but I can say the same of Yamamoto and Lucceshi as well
  7. Loup has already surrendered #32 so an easy fit
  8. I think it was Jones who got in pre-Twitter hot water for mouthing off about gays. Pretty good guy to have on your fantasy team in the 90s.
  9. [bLOCKQUOTE]Available Broken-Open Questions That You Are Additionally Invited to Answer Which two Mets were drafted in the first round twice?[/bLOCKQUOTE] Uh. Gary Gentry and John Stearns

  11. Laconic Southern guy who you could tell by looking at him was into hunting and fishing and took that same mindset to the mound with him. Specific memories? I have almost none. He was just there.
  12. [bLOCKQUOTE]Bonus Question for: Johnny Lunchbucket from 11/22/2021 Which batter, selected in the first round, who ultimately became a Met, had the shortest Mets career?[/bLOCKQUOTE] Joe PANIK
  13. I never got a distinct impression he was a "I wanted to stay in NYC" kinda guy. Great year, probably won't happen again, but it amps up the pressure on the Mets to find a good lefty out-getter.
  14. 10: David Ortiz Alex Rodriguez Barry Bonds Bobby Abreu Todd Helton Andruw Jones Jeff Kent Manny Ramirez Billy Wagner Gary Sheffield -- Abreu and Jones are "gut feeling" guys who might not stand up to heavy scrutiny and I could be talked out of. I left off Clemens and Schilling despite their deserving in. First time on my ballot for Arod who I have to say is improving his chances on a baseball-positive post-career. Also Wagner whom I didn't like much as a Met but got the job done as well as anyone, mostly
  15. We are also planning to visit Phoenix in April to see at least 1 game of the series in Whatever It's Called Stadium
  16. Yeah we just buy a la carte because Tuesdays are generally good days for us to go and makes it easier for the families etc. I don't think there's a specific Tuesday Plan although there should be. There used to be Tuesday-Friday, and there's a separate Weekday Plan. Tuesday Nights are good for "real fans" IMO-- not many amateurs out there on Tuesdays, and the commute is easy
  17. Lessons from Anaheim: Had little depth in minors and didn't think they had enough to overtake Houston right away, so strategy was mid-level FAs to get by and prepare to spend big when youngsters arrived. Pitching injuries were too much in 17 & 18. Vetting process has evolved since Callaway hiring
  18. Eppy speaking now with the reporters. Wants to pow-wow with the brass to discuss what kinda mngr they all want. Doesn't expect a new mgr this week but soon. Texting with agents right now. Says goal for offense is to increase the run differential. Wants to evaluate players' focus and concentration in addition to quantitative stats, a lesson he learned from Gene Michael. Perceives the Mets to be an org with a strong following but "depth challenges" but thinks the club has resources to succeed long-term. Cohen says "he's a pro." Impressed with his people skills and knowledge Thrilling so far. Sandy will be Billy's boss and his role will diminish over time
  19. Single game tixx went on sale this morning. Tuesday Night Mets Club just went and bought up 24 of them to see the Giants, Braves, Cardinals, Nationals, Brewers, Astros, MFYs, Reds, Rockies, Dodgers, Cubs and Marlins.... all on Tuesday, in various locales around the ballyard.
  20. I heard rumors that Typewriter Chewing Gum was discontinuing its popular Mets cards for 2022, citing supply-chain gluts, a tight labor market, increased material costs, and an inability to clear right with the players and clubs. Is this true?
  21. I could see it. I just don't wanna see it
  22. Fwiw, Wheeler got a little jobbed. I sure think his loss was bigger in the moment than Syndy.
  23. Getting kicked out of the game 1st pitch in the ass in the jackpot game
  24. Gotta say, first thing I remember is a Tuesday Night Mets game where Syndy gave up hard-hit single and doubles all over the field to the first four guys up in the first inning (Albies, Acuna, Freeman, etc) and we lost. I recall his lunch getting thrown away by Wright. His acquisition was a really good one and watching him on the rise has been fun. I was thinking though that he might turn into a closer at some point.
