1. Does anyone believe this isn't just "Ohtani's side of the story" until a more thorough investigation comes out?
2. It doesn't look that way on my app
3. League starts Monday the 8th. not sure why not monday the 1st. I'm always optimistic after the draft but I'm easy to fool. I need a few things to go right and I will roll you all
4. Wtf. We did it this way last year and everyone agreed head to head was more fun. We're talking about it in this thread
5. This sounds like only the beginning
6. This was me too. Good Xmas movie
7. I know we've discussed John Hughes before but saw this one again recently. It's not as funny as some of his flicks but better than most too. Fun facts: --Director Howard Duetsch married Lea Thompson --Eric Stolz plays the lead character, not Andrew McCarthy --Mary Stuart Masterson and I were born only a few weeks apart, which will give me something to talk about with her. --The villian was way over the top --Molly Ringwald turned down the opportunity to play Watts leading to a deterioration in her relationship with Hughes --Movie referenced the Rolling Stones with characters named Watts, Keith and Amanda Jones
8. We watched this too. My only complaint was that they told you up front they'd be separated and come back together. Poor dude.
9. So MetIrish can be 8th club.
10. When it was cool for sliders to take out 2nd basemen, that was Millan's fault. And look at Duffy Dyer throwing his old teammate under the bus. btw, I'd be interested in the details of the other Millan fight he mentioned
11. =metirish post_id=148238 time=1709585200 user_id=72] I have not played in years , can I join ?
12. Underwriter Laboratory workers to wear a patch this season
13. Back in 82, i woulda put 10 bucks on the Alarm outcareering U2.
14. We need an even number of teams to do head to head as noted above. I'm checking on the Country Squires now. I might also be able to convince Lunchpail to have a team this year. 25th good for me, though later than 7 would be better (like 8?)
15. We had one last year and it's still active: https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/94081https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/94081 yabbut I don't want a boring season where the only fun thing is the draft. Playing head to head or not playing
16. I should reveal where I stole this line from
17. These chicks look like guys
18. Amazin Adam Warren is the best handwriting font to read umdb scoresheets.
19. I'm not sure they had to go to John Denver for a reaction. I liked this, not being a WATW historian (or a fan when it came out). I wish there were more perspectives included but I was impressed they got Springsteen, recounting what surely wasn't a career highlight. Are you telling me Kim Carnes wasn't available? By the way she was a good sport to see her solo get cut to two words-- "and we" once they arranged the bridge. That someone got drunk didn't surprise me but nobody mentioned anything about what they used to stay awake all night Heuy Lewis just as he recounted, did look nervous in the footage (and good for an old man). I think he suffers hearing loss today and no longer performs. "The white people really bring it" -- true but many of them really chewed the scenery, like Bruce and Cyndi. Loved the Dylan and Stevie bit
20. Head to head, all NL players, like God intended. Before I create, who's in?
21. I'm picking up an ironic mad vibe from those decrying a feminist flick only got a nomination for Ken. I didn't see this movie nd probably won't
22. They're definitely not going to sign him now that he got through arbitration without a deal and with Boras as the agent. I think much depends on where we are in late July. We gathered in several hitters at last year's deadline but there's a not a lot of high-ceiling pitching on the way. If it gets to free agency I sure the Mets will be competitive with the $$ then its up to Pete to take it or pull a deGrom.
