1. We need an even number of teams to do head to head as noted above. I'm checking on the Country Squires now. I might also be able to convince Lunchpail to have a team this year. 25th good for me, though later than 7 would be better (like 8?)
2. We had one last year and it's still active: https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/94081https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/94081 yabbut I don't want a boring season where the only fun thing is the draft. Playing head to head or not playing
3. That's Oyster Burns, third from left, middle row, for Brooklyn
4. The pitcher pictured in question 1 is Miguel Batista, but I don't really understand the question
5. 3. Kerry Joosman
6. Tom Kohler
7. Ariel Jurado got me. They made him up.
8. https://twitter.com/FoulTerritoryTV/status/1754951842079846905 No bucks given Think its obvious Buck blew the whistle on Eppler
9. It's all about Nike benefitting Nike. They wanted to do these more athletic costumes, as though playing baseball was like working out. Everything was sacrificed for lighter looks, so less stitching, more iron on, narrower collar and front, which caused the MLB logo to drop, the names to shrink and numbers to fall on the back, and the odd breaks across the buttons on the front. The Mets uni splits the e in half instead of breaking between the M and e. They will fix the pants--nobody buys them. The shame of it nobody recognized that Major League baseball unis are supposed to be prominent, stitched, a little opulent, a little over the top -- that's one of the things that makes baseball unique.
10. To Mets by the Numbers and tge Ultimate Mets Database, coincidentally launching within weeks of one another in 1999
11. Vientos not much of an interview 😕
12. Acuna is short.
13. I also tried all-Mets but was shocked to learn Olerud was not a career .300 hitter (.295, looked it up) and I wasted Piazza on the 40-war instead of .300 hitting catchers list, then panicked and crashed with Pudge Rodriguez. The whole .300 career list is hard for Mets. I had to go with Chipper Jones for a .300 shortstop.
14. 3. Matlack?
15. The thermodynamic pitcher was Jay Hook
16. NBA and NFL have done that, granting teams foreign markets where they are allowed to market locally. That's why you see the Cheifs play in Germany and the Jaguars play in London. Eventually these leagues would like to expand globally, there's been talk of establishing a division of NFL teams in Europe.
17. Joey Lucchesi for Opening Day! Or perhaps you prefer Jose Butto. The choices are terrific!
18. I should reveal where I stole this line from
19. Buck up. Joey Lucchesi is in the best shape of his life.
20. Mike Kingery is one. I'm ok with an Alvarez deal or not.
21. These chicks look like guys
