3. Mets Postseason DNPs by series, players missing the entire postseason in bold 2006 NLDS Anderson Hernandez Ramon Castro Royce Ring Roberto Hernandez Oliver Perez NLCS Chris Woodward Ramon Castro Royce Ring Hmmmm...Someone check back, is it possible Anderson Hernandez was added to the NLCS Roster to replace Woodward? Seems that way to me. Other players listed on various roster sheets: Ricky Ledee Lastings Milledge Mike DiFelice Orlando Hernandez Pedro Martinez Juan Padilla Duaner Sanchez Dave Williams Victor Zambrano
4. Mets Postseason DNPs by series, players missing the entire postseason in bold 1999-2000 1999 Wild Card Play-in Game Shawon Dunston Matt Franco Benny Agbayani Bobby Bonilla Todd Pratt Armando Benitez Dennis Cook Octavio Dotel John Franco Orel Hershiser Pat Mahomes Rick Reed Kenny Rogers Turk Wendell Masato Yoshii There were no DNPS for the Mets in the 1999 NLDS or NLCS, for some reason the 1999 NLDS Scorecard Roster insert in the Mets program is 35 deep, which means these players got listed, despite obviously not being on the roster: Shane Halter Mike Kinkade Luis Lopez Jorge Toca Jay Payton Bobby Jones Chuck McElroy Glendon Rusch Jeff Tam Billy Taylor They also were on the scorecard for the game in Cincy, obviously eligible, or at least part of the roster, but injured (in Payton's case) for that Game 163 Play-in Game. 2000 NLDS Bubba Trammell Matt Franco (not officially on the roster, replaces injured Derek Bell in NLCS and WS) NLCS Derek Bell (replaced on roster by Matt Franco) WS Derek Bell (replaced on roster by Matt Franco) Also listed on various roster sheets: Rey Ordonez Jorge Velandia Bobby M. Jones Pat Mahomes Grant Roberts
5. Mets Postseason DNPs by series, players missing the entire postseason in bold 1986, 1988 1986 NLCS John Gibbons Ed Hearn Randy Niemann 1986 WS John Gibbons Ed Hearn Randy Niemann As far as I can tell, there were no added players on scorecard roster sheets for 1986 programs listing the Mets postseason roster. OE: Since Grimm noted 1986 was a 24 man roster, I'm guessing John Gibbons is the 25th man on the outside looking in. 1988 NLCS Keith Miller Barry Lyons Bob McClure Extra player listed on roster sheets, Bob Ojeda

7. Way too many stories with this guy. Maybe a nice change of scenery to a mid or small market city would do him some good.

9. Gooden, Strawberry... George Foster...for some reason I think Claudel Washington was on the '74 A's Shawon Dunston
10. Jim McAndrew I'm guessing the other '69ner is either Koonce, or Martin. Aww crap, 2006 guy, Michael Tucker I think? Guy's lone met card is a Topps 2007 Postseason highlight card. 1988...Bob McClure?
11. Ray Knight Mike Hampton Aaron Heilman

13. On a more positive note as his FB profile has him and his wife(?) hanging around with the Mr. Met Statue in Citi Field's Met Museum, Dan DiDio of DC Comics can be confirmed as a MLBS.
14. Well, it's certainly true that I didn't see him flying the flag before the first winning streakTM started taking off. Okay, you won't like this one in terms of comparison (but then again his schtick could be as a bitter comic), but it is from 2011: http://metspolice.com/2011/08/10/jim-breuer-explains-mets-fans-to-the-rest-of-the-world/ Another from 2009: http://huggingharoldreynolds.blogspot.com/2009/07/jim-breuer-puts-being-mets-fan-into.html?m=1 We had this discussion on the last page, this probably was the first time Breuer felt like doing a vid blog all over his social media platforms.
15. Oh, hey George, I guess we never got to see you back in 2007... =

Since then, Dick Williams has done it. (Athletics and Padres.) Anyone else? Or is it still just those two? Jim Leyland (1997 Marlins and 2006 Tigers) Sparky Anderson, Reds and Tigers Tony LaRussa, A's and Cardinals Looking it up on B-R.com Alvin Dark Giants, Athletics Replaced Williams in 1974, so Berra's distinction of being the only one lasted one year. Doing more digging, Berra was not the first! Joe McCarthy took the 1929 Cubs to the World Series, losing to the A's, before his run as MFY Skipper.
17. Going with the guy that netted the Mets #8
18. Speaking of which, this might be a White Whale on the level of Orosco in his debut uniform, but I've been trying to find photo evidence of Duke Snider in his original #11. Since Mets did not wear uni numbers on the front in 1963, one would need a shot of Duke from behind to show his original Met uni number. And I can't seem to find one on a quick Google Image search.
19. Just noticed #11 isn't visible on that Topps Card, so here is his SSPC one.
