  1. Marlins win 2-0
  2. And he DOES IT! Anibal Sanchez hurls the Majors first No-Hitter since Randy Johnson for the Diamondbacks May 18, 2004!
  3. Willets Point wrote: And then add another 11 wins to those 100. Now those are the most important wins of the fall!
  4. 1 Out Away
  5. Okay, this is MFY related, but hey I'm talking about couple of guys who hailed from Claussen Point in Da Bronx: Few weeks back, when the Mantle stamp was announced the US Postmaster General John Potter threw out the first ball. Well, his dad was a lifetime Yankee fan, and wasn't in the best shape, so after the game, Potter inscribed the ball and presented it to his father. His father died over the weekend, he would have been 80 on Tuesday. Anyway, apparantly that ball, along with a Yankee cap went in the coffin. I'll drink to that kind of tribute! = Wonder if I can start a pettiton to get a Joan Payson stamp = Or a Gil Hodges
  6. Tied at 2 in Philly, 7th
  7. Sanchez working on a No-No heading into the 9th in Miami
  8. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Wells became a Padre too late for the postseason, didn't he? So it looks like the Phillies are the only team that can come at the Mets with a lot of lefty starters, and they can't be a first-round opponent. Getting back to Milledge, I guess one option would be to leave him off the NLDS roster and add him to the NLCS roster in the unfortunate event that the Phillies are the opposing team. Wells made it
  9. HAHA! I was just thinking, nice to finally follow a September loss to the Braves with a couple of wins! Not to mention how nice it feels not to feel the need to smash things after the Mets LOSE a September game to the Braves! Was also thinking that this series had all the potential to be a litmus test when the season began. Well, it was For the Braves who still have fading hopes of the Wild Card! HEHEHE!
  10. Hmmm, I would have gone with Gregg Jefferies or 1969's J.C. Martin though. Jim Hickman and Todd Hundley would have been top choices as well

  12. K'd em! Perez is looking good. Wonder if the guy who's level I'm at will let Perez go for the Complete Gamer
  13. SIT DOWN! Time for Met-Hatah Brian Jordan!
  14. Don't make me angry! You...you...wouldn't like it when I'm angry!
  15. KC wrote: I'm coming off a IGT loss, I forget the protocol. SJRogers needs to update the IGT standings. I ain't bothering with lineups yet, I'm surprised that they're even trying to get this in tonight. No Floyd or Beltran is the only thing I remember of note. I got an impression that the standings were a waste of time and effort, despite my task being easier than, say at another board that doesn't do archiving that well! =
  16. Rockin' Doc wrote: Trachsel walks in a run. Fourth walk of the inning and now he gets to be first in the showers. Absolutely, horrible outing from Trachsel. Braves are still in his head! =
  17. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Fuckshit! Trax walks in a run. Now comes in Heath Bell to pour gasoline on the fire.... Can we DL Trax somehow for the postseason? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  18. Not the way you want to solidify your position as the Game 3 starter Trash!
  19. Are you sure we shouldn't send Oswalt a nice case of Lone Star Beer? Or maybe just send over some Saranac or Redhook? =
  20. Amen to that. Sure wish Angelos hadn't pulled out of that deal. Oh well, Oswalt is becoming one of those stud hurlers that its no shame in losing more than once two in a year
  21. Almost forgot, the World Championship Trophies
  22. Wave those banners high! And lets have a 5fh up there this year
