  1. I wish I had muscles like that. And I'd never smoke.

  3. FUCK THIS TEAM game off. someone let me know how it turned out.
  4. LEADOFF TRIPLE FOR DANIEL MURPHY!!! strand him there and i'm done watching. for the year.
  5. Rincon comes on and gets the big out with 2 on. lets score!
  6. Murphy bobbles the ball allowing the tying run to score, he was being held up at 3rd for sure.
  7. Elster88 wrote: ="Nymr83"]PULL HIM NOW I feel ya, but don't forget what our options are in the pen. All caps aren't necessary. I know who is out there, and if the starter had allowed a few singles i'd be ok, but when a guy is walking people he's gotta go.
  8. HOW BOUT NOW? he's got nothing left
  9. PULL HIM NOW
  10. Well the Mets have been the opposite of their usual "leave men on base" ways tonight, they have 5 runs on only 2 hits. Walks Kill.
  11. GRAND SLAM DELGADO!!! Reyes was definitely in Zambrano's head there, walking down the line
  12. 1998 Astros- Jeff Bagwell, Moises Alou, Derek Bell 1999 Rangers- Ivan Rodriguez, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmiero 1999 Diamondbacks- Matt Williams, Luis Gonzalez, Jay Bell 1999 Indians- Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, Roberto Alomar 2002 Yankees- Bernie Williams, Jason Giambi, Alfonso Soriano 2004 Cardinals- Albert Pujols, Jim Edmonds, Edgar Renteria 2004 Yankees- Bernie Williams, Jason Giambi, Alex Rodriguez 2005 Yankees- Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi, Alex Rodriguez 2007 Yankees- Alex Rodriguez, Robinson Cano, Hideki Matsui this question is way too yankee-centric. the '99 indians and '99 diamondbacks are the only two guesses i feel confident about.

  14. JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE!!
  15. Elster88 wrote: Eh. The strike zone is bigger than Al's mom's back today. Swing away. Now Castro's not clogging up third with less than two outs either. Home Improvement jokes in the IGT!
  16. nobody out bases loaded, 2-0 to Santana...
  17. radio just called Castro "slow as molasses" edit- and now he said "boy, Castro can really clog the bases"
  18. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasehit! Evans scores, Santana scores, its tied! come on beltran!!
  19. Wright will bat with the bases loaded and 2 men down, Mets trailing 2-0 and Piniella will leave Marshall in to face him after a trip to the mound.
  20. I don't think Minaya raised the expectations, the expectation of making the playoffs or better has been there every year since Piazza came over except for probably 03-04. With the Mets payroll those expectations haven't been out of line. Missing the playoffs last year was a blunder, missing it two years in a row with all the Mets' resources would be cause for removing the GM in my mind.
  21. I'm not anti-minaya yet but 4 years is a bit much considering where his teams have(n't) gone so far.
  22. that '99 team had a great bullpen
  23. Benjamin Grimm wrote: ="soupcan"]Shaved on Sunday morning. Will no longer do so until and unless the Mets are eliminated. I haven't shaved in almost eight years. (I have trimmed, though!) Maybe if I have to give up some grooming task, I can give up bathing and showering until the Mets win a World Series. as someone living far away from the potential stench, i wholeheartedly endorse this.
  24. Who starts your game potential game four in the LCS? right now its pretty set that you go Santana-Pelfrey-Perez-Santana-Pelfrey in a LDS, but are you desperate enough to try a 3-man rotation in the LCS given the state of the Mets bullpen? or do you have to throw Pedro out there? do you want to see Knight pitch? (i'm pretty sure Niese isn't postseason eligible)
