  1. STOP FUCKING BUNTING
  2. Everbody hustling there!
  3. Colon!!! Fuck you, DH advocates.
  4. Why does nobody ever listen? the solution to the Mets offensive struggles was down on the farm all along!
  5. It's a stone cold fact that you can't bunt your way off the shit list. Edgy's list has me falling on the floor unable to stop laughing How can anyone possibly be discussing Errors alone as a serious measure of defensive ability? YOU SOUND LIKE A YANKEES FAN DEFENDING ST. JETER!!
  6. i have the mlb radio app on my phone and decided to tune in just now to the 10th inning of Angels/Padres, the Angels broadcasters were bashing the idea that BABIP was meaningful (they were likely discussing the underperforming Matt Kemp, who was at bat and just cleared the bases with a double) their "argument" was that it didnt take into account strikeouts, well yeah, it doesnt claim to you fucking morons!

I found the fighting to be exhilarating and admired that they tried to provide some humanity to the guys but I just give up on making any sense of the rules for these things. The only way to solve problem X is a... nuclear heat shield! Okay! Whatever! I also had an issue with the supposedly invincible bad guy summoning a billion flying robot soldiers who were easier to kill than zombies in The Walking Dead. wtf? zombies, ninjas, robots, it doesnt matter - they all follow the same rules - a hundred of them together each die easily while one alone is impossible to kill, they are what the plot demands they be.
  8. Centerfield wrote: And for what it's worth, fuck Ben Zobrist. Call up Reynolds. If it's a few weeks, play him at third base. If Wright it out an extended period of time, play Reynolds at SS and Flores at third. When Dilson Herrera gets healthy sit anyone that isn't hitting and re-align as necessary. Bang. A Plan.
  9. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I agree. The trade is an absurd idea. If they're going to trade Matz, they should settle for no less than someone like Victor Zambrano. This was EXACTLY what came to mind when I saw the idea of trading a top prospect for a guy like Zobrist. I would call Reynolds up and see what happens.
  10. Nothing like striking out the side in the 1st!
  11. that doubleplay was a killer!
  12. Lots of sloppy tonight but Colon just doesn't have it, why is he even out there this inning? Conceding the game? Eating innings?
  13. I was about to just type "KKK" as Harvey struck out the side, but if I ever ran for office someone would come find this post and take it out of context. Harvey looking great, despite the ugly camouflage uniforms. Maybe. We should honor the armed forces by NOT making them look terrible.
  14. we've had roughly 2.5 3B debuts in 10 years of Wright and roughly 3 per year before Wright, I'd hardly call that shutting the revolving door on debuts.
  15. Anthony Recker of all people becomes the first player in one of my daily fantasy lineups to go deep twice in a game this year, ANTHONY RECKER!!!
  16. Fuckity fuck fuck.. There are plenty of ways to lose a game, but "Kenny Rogers Style" is the worst of all.
  17. this thread is sitting here, mocking me. I had Curtis Granderson in a Daily Fantasy league lineup last night all set to go... then i saw there was a chance of rain in Pittsburgh and swapped Gerrit Cole out for a cheaper pitcher. that gave me the space top "upgrade" from CG, who i liked in last night's matchup, to a more expensive outfielder. whoops. Curtis isn't worth the contract the Mets gave him, but he's nowhere near the Jason Bay "please bench me" level. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a Neanderthal who still hasn't seen the value of a Walk. Edgy wrote: Boy, that homer sure sucked down the line in a hurry. I wish this was one of those forums where you could "like" posts, because thats all i really wanted to do with this one
  18. The Mets have posted "get to know Kevin Plawecki" articles on facebook and twitter in the last few hours, so while an injury is certainly possible, thats a pretty big "whoops" if they traded him.
  19. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: This Selig Era strategy of marketing the game by marketing the player led to all the crap about the Buster Posey Rules and I have no doubt that Wainwright will be the Tendon That Killed The Pitcher Hitting Once and For All. I think it sucks but there's nobody out there who's going to stop this. What, you want snap poor Adam Wainwright's achilles? If Jonathan Niese suffers the Wainwright injury we arent discussing the DH in the NL right now, just like if Anthony Recker had been the guy to get hurt instead of Posey. So if Mike Trout runs into a wall and gets hurt do we decide that the Ivy needs to get chopped down at Wrigley and replaced with a 5-foot thick padding?
  20. Am i trippin? The logos in batmag's post quoting Edgy look old skool to me, but in Edgy's original post, they appear contemporary. versus me too
  21. draw that walk!! now bust this shit open flores!!!
  22. Don't let it stop!! 10 in a row!
  23. THE STREAK WILL NOT BE ENDED!!
