    I really haven't been watching much. I saw the last few innings of Sunday's game, but that was the first time I had tuned in in quite a while. They're a team of strangers who are going nowhere. Not very compelling. Yes, I'd like to get better acquainted with Ewing and Benge and McLean, but I have trouble watching a game when I don't care much about the outcome. And it's become quite clear now that this is a lost season.

    Citizen Kane did an effect with something called an "optical printer" (I don't remember the details of what that was) but it allowed for the camera to pan upwards through a ceiling. For example, a scene may have been taking place on the first floor, but then the camera started rising, passing through the floor/ceiling to a scene on the second floor. Maybe that's what you're thinking about?

    If you were responding to my post, what I meant was 2027 value, not 2028 through 2030 value.

    I agree. I would only trade Weaver for someone who might have a greater impact for the Mets in 2027 than Weaver would. But that probably won't be the kind of player who would be traded for Weaver, unless perhaps it's a AAA star who's not quite ready but should be soon. That doesn't appear to be a likely scenario.
