At least Sandy's son isn't named Jeff. Or Eric. Or Don Jr.

Thirteen of the remaining 30 games are against the Nationals and the Marlins. I know we can't assume anything. They've certainly failed to capitalize against the "lowly" teams often enough this year, but maybe they'll be able to do it this month. I'm planning on a rather disinterested October, but there's still hope.

Dennis Young, New York Daily News wrote: On Thursday, he also pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to obey a traffic device, failing to change his address, and a “stop/stand/park” violation, according to the court website. Uh oh... I haven't changed my address in over 21 years!

I don't see that Zack Scott is in the same category as Callaway and Porter, unless he has a documented history of DUI or DWI. Even if there's a record of him being an alcoholic (and I have no idea if he is or isn't) are we saying that alcoholics are ineligible for employment?

I know you're all worried about this, but the votes for the delayed April 11 game apparently will not retroactively affect the April Player of the Month awards.

Yeah, this is a side effect of me having to squeeze yesterday's day game before the April 13 game. Things are shifted strangely and I have to fix it. Many of the box scores are screwed up too. I've disabled Schaefer voting for the time being.

I checked GameDay and saw that Alonso was the tying run at the plate so I switched to the video to see if he'd hit a game-tying homer. So I got to see the hits by Alonso, Baez, and Conforto. Great finish!

I don't remember if Lindor has a no-trade in his contract. If he does I think he'd be required to be protected.

Oh, it's her again. She found a button. One of my biggest regrets in life is this Schaefer graphic.

So... even those of us who were most pessimistic turned out to be overly optimistic.

It's possible to be hopeful and pessimistic at the same time. I am. I hope they get on a hot streak and surge into first place, but I see it as extremely unlikely.

This is not a postseason team.

This is one of the best thread titles that we've had in a long time.
