I remember knowing somebody who was hoarding Gregg Jefferies rookie cards, figuring to one day cash them in to pay for his kid's college tuition. I said, "Don't you realize that there are many people doing this? And because of supply and demand, those cards are going to be virtually worthless, even if Jefferies becomes the next Ty Cobb?" Deaf ears. If Mickey Mantle is worth thousands, then so must Jefferies. When I was very young, I thought that each of my comic books would become very valuable thirty years later, since Golden Age comics were selling for so much. I wasn't much past my tenth birthday when I realized that the supply of Marvel Two-In-One would always be high, but the demand would always be low. Supply and demand is a worthwhile thing for people to understand. And it's not even a difficult concept.

Didn't see Unbreakable. I was intrigued by it, but never did get around to seeing it. The only two "Night" films I've seen are the two I mentioned.

I really liked The Sixth Sense, and hated Signs. In fact, I hated Signs so much that I'm not inclined to see any more of Night's films. So no Lady in the Water for me. Even though my daughter says that Paul Giamatti's character looks like me.

Who does Wally Matthews write for? I don't think I've ever heard of him. (I thought he was an actor or a character on Leave it to Beaver.)

It took me 117 posts, but I just noticed that I, too, have attained Seaverness.

I'd jump right in on the stadium planning, and put my imprint on it (whatever that imprint might be) before things progress too far. The whole Ebbets Field thing would end immediately. Also, the black caps and jerseys wouldn't be eliminated, but their usage would be greatly reduced. Maybe for weekday day games, or Sunday night games.

That so many are doing it shows that some of these guys don't vet their offers very well. This guy's doing a major campaign for his little faith rally. I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot more from and about Dr. Jaerock Lee.

Hopefully a lesson or two will be learned from this: Don't stand in front of a camera and say anything that somebody pays you to say. Make sure you know what you're endorsing before you endorse it.
