Or ballplayers in general. I'm not picky.

Was thinking Josh Smoker does a good job living up to his name. Neil Walker has an ok OBP, but might bolt as a free agent this winter, thus fulfilling his legacy. Butch was pretty Huskey, and Preston, once the adoption was complete, became Will's son.

Gary Carter could carry a team.

José Cardenal once played for the Cardinals.

Pedro Feliciano mostly projected happiness.

Chin-lung Hu eventually got to first.

Bobby Bonilla was a little bit good.

Jim Mann was, by all accounts, an adult male.

Blas Minor had an unremarkable minor league career.

Rusty Staub was appropriately rusty on top. And I would bet that, if he returned to the game today, his skills would be rusty.

And speaking of hair, Sandy Alomar's had, indeed, grown sandy by the time of his return to the dugout as coach.

In only 58 games as a Met, Brent Gaff made five errors.

I love this place.

Al Leiter was, truthfully, lighter as a Yankee than he was in Flushing.

David has often been right.

Yogi Berra was full of transcendental wisdom.

Tug McGraw probably tugged at the bill of his cap.

Anthony Young was not old.

Emil Brown certainly was brown-hued.

Ryan Church was decidedly churchy.

Eric Hillman was a man who made his living on a hill.
