Wondering how badly Asdrubal Cabrera's hurt, what's your immediate plan?

Go big for a shortstop at the trading deadline?

Don't go big, but yeah, get a shortstop?

Call up Dilson, install him at second, move Walker to third, move Flores to short?

Call up Reynolds, install him at short?

Call up Rivera, install him at short?

Call up Cecchini, install him at short?

Call up Campbell, install him at third, move Flores to short?

Kelly Johnson to third, Wilmer to short.

Some combo of Johnson and Campbell at third Wilmer at short.

Yeah, OK. forget Campbell. How about Ty Kelly? Install him at third and move Wilmer to short? Kelly's been in the outfield of late for the 51s, but he's still hitting. No defense is ideal wilt Wilmer at short, but here we are.

Keep in mind that the Metsies are already short a man in the infield, carrying six outfielders and only five infielders the last few. That's not sustainable, so if they DL Cabrera, they might call up two infielders, and send down Nimmo in the meantime.

I'd stay internal at this point, either Reynolds or Cecchini.
If either or both bomb in the short term it's a race as to who's back sooner, Reyes or Cabrera -- almost certainly Reyes based on how Asdrubal looked going off the field.

Depends a little on the severity of Cabrera's injury and how many young infielders get traded away or for this year. For now I'd assume it's Reynolds?

I would do this until Reyes is ready.

Looked bad yesterday. I wonder if we'll see Asdrubal again in 2016.

Looks like Asdrubal might be done for the year.

I'd like to see what Cecchini can do. Seems his offensive upside is greater than Reynolds, and keep Wilmer floating around the infield.
