Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Another doink, another run. Happy.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Kelly with what sounded like a broken bat single over short.6-0. Matt Reynolds, I am watching you!Awww Ks. You're still covered by the double. Your mom is safe.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Cripes, if Rivera also hits give lil d' all the time he needs. A single and double tonight. I wonder how lil d' will be off the bench. He'll be plenty rested ( I think stamina/exhaustion is an issue with him) in a bench role.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I'm a Cutch fan, but not a fan of his whining. Wow, and he's done for the night. Pulled after looking at strike three. Will tonight's excuse shed any light on this?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Hellzyea, I wanna see eight. Hey, how about one of those....ahh,,what were they called...?Oh, complete games. How about one of those?!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 This is fun! Gonna need to tap another keg of Schaefer.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 11 ks, 3 hits after eight. Didn't have an eye on the pitch count but must be right around 100. Run him out again TC, and give him a few bumps.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I suppose, after all the shit games we've had lately, that it would seem ungrateful to complain about "wasting" all this hitting on the same night we get a dominant pitching performance. But, SHYEEEET, if they could have just spread a few of these runs around ...
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 If you're a starting pitcher batting for yourself in the bottom of the eighth, something's going very right.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 And a fifth time is something going really really very right.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Oh, I now understand why they have been trying to keep mah man Reynolds on a shelf. They had a plan for him. He's going to be our future third baseman if Wright goes wrong.Playing second tonight, and in a number of ways his early days remind me of Jeff Kent's early days.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 de Aza=useless.Lead off double by some Buc with goldielocks.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Hmmm. Shutouts in jeopardy, baby, OOOOOO-OooOO-OO-OO. Shutouts in jeopardy, baby, OOO...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Awwww. Pittsburgh scores and Thor will head to the showers. Hey, you got into the 9th lookin' strong, kid. One step at a time.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I'm all for stretching your pitcher when it matters, but i dont see the need for 116 pitches in an 11-0 game. he should have gone 7 and called it a night.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I like this Kang kid on the Pirates. He's just an all around natural in the field, at the plate, and on the bases. Very smooth third baseman.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Error all the way? Flores wasn't even supposed to glove that! Great stop. Horrible throw.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Familia here, huh?Who am I to question a win such as this? Great game. Yea FK, you know baseball, we may be wanting a few of these hits spread out over this next week, but we will take what we can get. I'm happy because I really wanted to see them string some hits and get runs w/o the longball, and they did that right out of the chute tonight. You see Flores, batting cleanup and driving in 4 (esp if you saw the first 2 ribbys), and you have to smile.I know we supposedly have a number of aces in this rotation, but Thor is ridiculous. Long may he throw!

Now he's sorta stretched out a little further and if he needs to throw 110 against the Nats he won't be stretching his endurance as much.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Thor was on a week's rest so I didn't have any problem with Terry pushing him a bit there. And Fammy hadn't been in a game in 5 days so he needed the work.

I know it's not as easy as some would make it seem, but man, take the ball the other way boys. You'll score 11 runs every game.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I keep looking for him every time they say "Jaso".
