Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) A mere six days to opening day, and we still have no idea who's going to explain how the Royals have handled their departure from Zobrism. Or anything else about our upcoming opponents for 2016. So, well, here's a table. I've automatically signed up Fman for the MFY series, because Oscar Gamble in a leglock. The rest is up to you.DATES OF SERIESSWORN ENEMYVOLUNTEER EXPERT4/3-5@KCRLeiterWagnerFasterStrongr4/8-10PHIFrayed Knot4/11-13MIAEdgy4/15-17@CLEChad Ochoseis4/18-20@PHI4/22-24@ATL4/25-27CINThe Old Mole4/29-5/1SFGLeiterWagnerFasterStrongr5/2-4ATL5/5-8@SDPSeawolf5/9-12@LAD5/13-15@COLLefty Specialist5/17-19WASG-Fafif5/20-22MILTransMonk5/23-25@WASG-Fafif5/27-29LAD5/30-6/1CWSSeawolf6/3-6/5@MIAEdgy6/6-6/8@PITChad Ochoseis6/9-6/12@MILTransMonk6/14-6/16PITChad Ochoseis6/17-6/19ATL6/21-6/22KCRLeiterWagnerFasterStrongr6/23-6/26@ATL6/27-6/29@WAS6/30-7/3CHCFrayed Knot7/4-7/6MIAEdgy7/7-7/10WAS7/15-7/17@PHI7/18-7/20@CHCFrayed Knot7/22-7/24@MIAEdgy7/25-7/27STLLunchbucket7/28-7/31COLLefty Specialist8/1-8/2NYYFMan8/3-8/4@NYYFman8/5-8/7@DETMets Guy in Michigan8/9-8/11ARIGwreck8/12-8/14SDPSeawolf8/15-8/17@ARIGwreck8/18-8/20@SFGLeiterWagnerFasterStrongr8/23-8/25@STLLunchbucket8/26-8/28PHI8/29-9/1MIAEdgy9/2-9/4WAS9/5-9/7@CINThe Old Mole9/9-9/11@ATL9/12-9/14@WAS9/16-9/18MINTransMonk9/19-9/21ATL9/22-9/25PHI9/26-9/28@MIAEdgy9/30-10/2@PHI Edited March 28, 2016 by Guest

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 In recent years the KTEs for divisional opponents, because they come so often and risk getting monotonous, have morphed into becoming more group efforts with updates since the previous series tacked on to the existing 'Division Opponent for 2016' thread.Doesn't mean one individual can't grab an NL East team on his own ... in fact we're short of a Marlins thread so that and a KTE for the 3rd series of the year would be a good combo thread. The knowledge we really need is for the out of division opponents who we'll only see once or twice. For the same reason, I'll kick off next week's Phils series since I was just boning up on them for that overview thread. Also the Cubs look interesting this year so sign me up for their two series in July.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'll take the two Milwaukees if no one else is looking for them.

Sometimes, the KTEs for the Es that we already K about are the best written and funniest to read.Oh I'm not saying that in-division KTEs shouldn't be done, only that you tend to run out of stuff to say when dealing with multiple series, particularly when some of those come just a week or so apart as they often do.So what has tended to happen in recent years is that by the time we get around to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. series of the year that they tend to be group projects tacked onto the existing team thread. That way the updates can just deal with what's new since the last time we saw them and folks can sign up for an in-division team without feeling like they're going to run out of material from having to do them six times.

I always thought Redlegs was their original name.I just took the Pirates, and I'd already claimed the Indians. That leaves the Dodgers as the only unclaimed enemy outside the division.
