If the series ends tonight, then yeah, Murphy's the MVP. But if it goes 7, then we're less than halfway through right now. Murphy could go cold while someone else steps up, or maybe DeGrom could pitch a gem in game 7.

Or, you know, the Cubs could win the thing, and then the MVP is some doofus in a blue uniform.

yeah, I guess if it gets extended and one of the starting pitchers did something in 6 or 7 to clinch it, maybe. But the production in the wins seems more important than the losses, and with Murphy with such a nice lead 75% of the way there..
