Yuk. Thats 3 guys who hit it hard this inning so far

Whatever. Adrian Gonzalez is the best hitter in this lineup, it was just a single (nice job by Cespedes to hold him to that). I would have left Clippard in to face Turner.

So, is Familia going to bat in the bottom of the 8th? Must be double switch somewhere, right?

Clippard is a fly ball pitcher who's given up two hard-hit balls and has made a bunch of mistakes up/middle-in over the last few weeks. Gimme Familia.

Guys get hit, it happens. But if you look at where the catcher is setting up, Clippard is missing his spots and that's why he's getting knocked around.

Now that the crisis has passed. I really think Clippard got burned out when Terry went to him every day when he was doing so well. Could still be feeling the effect?

Duda out. Johnson to second, Murphy to first.

I thought of the double switch but started to blank when thinking of potential combos.

[crossout]8-9-1[/crossout] 7-8-9 coming up for the Mets.
[crossout]5-6-7[/crossout] 6-7-8 for the Dodgers in the bottom half.

They used the same three "Let's Go, Mets!" kids in the 9th as they did earlier in the game.

Bad form, TBS.

I was wondering where all those All-Star jerseys were coming from.

Clippard's BEEN overdue for a correctIon-- velocity drop this year, coupled with weirdly low HR rates for a flyball guy-- for the last two seasons or so.
