This just in: Conforto can hit.

I know he didn't just there but it was also a line drive off a LOOGY specialist (redundancy alert!!) to go along with all the other stuff he's done lately including first-pitch jumping Scherzer and taking him out to the opposite field.

If you're in the box, be ready to hit. It's pretty simple.

Otherwise don't get in the box until you are ready.

Zimmerman looks pissed at getting quick-pitched ... but tough shit dude!

I don't love it. Seems a little un-sporting, but outs are outs with this bully. Zim was in the box and shoula been more prepared to go.

Oooh, with Robles coming in on a double-switch and having just thrown a 1-2-3 / 10-pitch inning, you gotta come back with him to at least start the bottom 8th.

If you're in the box and the pitcher is on the rubber, you've got no beef IMO on being quick-pitched.
The time in Philly was a bit different in that their complaint was that Darrin Ruf had his head down at the time. Zimmerman has no such complaint.

Ronnie, and it was a nationality stereotype, not a racial one.

My neighbor came to the door and bothered me. What'd Ronnie say?

I'd agree with you, but I ain't managing the Mets. They're going to the eighth-inning-guyTM.

NOPE!!!

Thing is, the REAL 8th inning guy isn't available and Robles is at least as good a bet as Reed.
Had Clip-art been available then it almost certainly would have been by the book.

I've noticed the umps on this ever since Robles in Philly. They are looking for it and prepared to wave off a pitch if it's considered improper. I consider it just part of the game.

Something about Mexican pitchers having a good breaking ball to rely on. He did preface the statement by saying he did not mean it to be stereotypical.

Great job by Robles. Now an insurance run (or Two) would really be nice.

I'd be tempted. Leave him in until someone gets on.
Not gonna happen though.

And this just in: The Orioles suck.
