Beat you to Kile, sucka.

A Reds pitcher who represents no other team, but not Mario Soto... Tom Browning.

Full disclosure: some of these guys played for other teams, but they were AL teams so I didn't include them unless they were post-1997.

It's Darling. It makes sense, in that his tenure was about as long as Fernandez's, and completely contained in the best of the Gwynn era. I know Gwynn hit him hard, but I bet he got a handful of whiffs in.

I'll guess the Red was Jose Rijo

Phillie Expo Dodger sounds like Omar Daal (though I'm sure it isn't)

Still, though, pulling Omar Daal out is impressive.

One more winner, and more hints!

6 K in 62 PA -- Ron Darling (.441/.452/.593 -- so when Gwynn wasn't tattooing him, Ronnie was striking him out)
6 K in 48 PA (Red Sox 1979-83, Pirates 1984, Cardinals 1985-88, then largely forgotten. 9-7, 2.41 vs Mets. K'd Straw as a Met 17 times in 45 AB.)
6 K in 41 PA (LHP: Pirates 1986-1991, Twins 1992, Reds 1993-97. 20-8 in 1991 for Pirates. One-hit the Mets in April '91.)
5 K in 84 PA -- Fernando Valenzuela (.321/.349/.410)
5 K in 74 PA (RHP: Phillies 1983-88, Expos 1989-90, Dodgers 1991-94, AL 95-97. 14-12, 3.72 in 39 G vs Mets. Everything about him is average. In thirty starts vs Mets, gave up at least five hits in all but two, yet somehow shut out the 1986 Mets in September at the Vet. Biggest career comp: Steve Trachsel.)
5 K in 63 PA -- Darryl Kile (.304/.381/.393)
5 K in 56 PA -- Jose Rijo (.294/.339/.410)
5 K in 46 PA (Expos, Mariners, 6 others. Faced the Mets in 1991 with MON, in 2006 with Giants. K'ed Todd Hundley as a Met 9 times in 18 AB. Pitched a CG W vs Mets in September 1996, mostly because Hundley was in the cleanup spot and couldn't hit this guy with a paddle.)

I did in my original hints, but left that part off later because he sucked as a Dodger. Apologies for the confusion.
