I have a meeting with the director of marketing. I'm going to have to cancel.

I recorded the game at home so I can watch the intro and get all teary eyed.

Excited to check out WORs opening though.

I officially sent the "I'm taking off 3/31" email today though so I'll tolerate missing the official beginning of spring if it happens.

Never thought I'd feel nostalgic about the current TV intro music but I think I did just now. L'il bit.

Listened to part of inning 1 in the car at lunch. Reception on OR is OK, but Howie and Josh sound like they're broadcasting from the bottom of a barrel.

The new Ralph patch, tho very small like I feared, looks great.

Ike, who I hoped could better read a curve this season, looks at a called one that passed right over the heart of the plate for strike 3.

And he did that shaking his head business, and squinting and generally not agreeing with the ump.

Okay, nothings changed there. Lets get a look at Duda :)

Duda, DH, drives one into the gap in left center where some dirty Nat makes a great snow-cone diving snatch.

He hit that with authoritah.

Young got the first hit, leading off the game for the Mets. Travis d just stroked a guided missile right over 3rd for a stand up double.

I like the understated classiness of it. I think that Ralph would have approved.

It is bigger than a quarter by quite a bit. I think Ralph would have said: "Aww, you guys didn't have to do that for me."

I thought they did?

Not that I can find. $19.99 for the season. And the "listen now" link on the WOR page goes to their regular mid-day programming or whatever.

Guessing Ralph would prefer not to be eligible for the honor.

Ike lifted one to center this time up. I really want Ike to have a great year, and it's way too early to tell, but I see no real change in his approach so far. Or the results.

Duda, a broken bat ground rule double that bounces over the wall in right center. Niiiiice.

Actually not as nice as I initially thought. If that didn't go over the wall I think Satin may have tap danced home.

Still no score.

You can download the app for free definitely.. it's the subscription afterwards that cost $19.99 but you should still be able to get the Springgames.

Is Eric Goedel's name pronounced with one of those invisible German R's, as heard in "The Goethels Bridge" or "Joseph Goebbels"?

A Ramos double makes it 1-0 Dirty Nats.

Some sloppy fielding and cautious running this inning.

Wow. Mets take the lead with a 2 out 2 RIBBY double down the 3rd base line by Puello.

IKE DAVIS KABOOM!

And that was way out of there.
4-1 Mets
