Early 2014 Prediction Thread

A bit premature for sure with the season still going on (and we�ll certainly revisit this once the season ends) but I happened to be pondering this NOW!!!! and I wanted to get a snapshot of where the general consensus sits at this time rather than just sit on this for the next two months.
We know there's going to be a lot of interesting decisions made over the next eight months.

So give us your prediction, not of the season itself but as to the status of our current players come Opening Day 2014.

Byrd and Buck are gone with no major additions. The pitching staff is virtually unchanged. The logjam of mediocrity remains at 1B with Ike struggling again and blocking us from seeing Satin or Flores play full time. The Mets sign an aging FA OF to a 1 year deal hoping to catch lighting in a bottle again but this mystery man is no Marlon Byrd. The Mets remain mysteriously in love with Quintanilla.

Bullpen: no major additions, a couple of new and inconsequential faces
Bench: mystery low-paid veteran OF, Turner, Recker, Puello, mystery low-paid middle infielder.

The Mets insist everything will be fine and the "kids are on the way", and while this is true of an ever improving and under-appreciated pitching staff (including Mejia and Familia in the bullpen by August) the Mets continue to not give a chance to Satin, Flores, Puello, Den Dekker, and others with none of them reaching 300 ABs.

Our consensus to date from the ten participants who responded.

- The only unanimous choices (in any categories) are, not surprisingly, that Wright, Harvey, and Wheeler will all be on the 25-man roster come opening day, and, perhaps slightly surprisingly, that Lagares & d'Arnaud will also.

- Voted most likely to be gone from the organization before next April: Jeremy Hefner, followed closely by Buck & Byrd

- More of us think Young will be back than Byrd
